"Christopher Cross Griffen!!!"

The amount of 80's references in Sunday's episode were unreal....

He-Man
Snorkles
Kris Kross
Animal House
Fast Times At Ridgemont High

I may have to watch it again on the DVR to see if I missed any...

All and all I thought it was great... the Stewie & Brian scene twice about the novel was stretching it, but was funny in its own way. Let us not forget the 5 minute chicken fight towards the beginning of this season.... that was a bit much.

Kriss Kross was the 90s.

Some parts were really funny, but other parts were only mildly or barely funny. Stewie ragging on Brian about the book would've been funnier if it was shorter. I was ready to skip it on my ReplayTV because it was becoming more and more unfunny as it dragged on.

I got the Animal House reference, but didn't understand why the old man was there. IMO, he's throwing more and more "out of left field" references in there, but each one just distracts from the main story. It works when it's quick, but some last too long.

People rag on the Simpsons, but at least their references don't bog the story down for those who don't get them.

You don't remember th old man? 😕

Family went progressively downhill since it started. Most of season 3 was garbage.. I haven't bothered to watch the new season, so I won't pass judgement. Regardless, South Park, ATHF, and King of the Hill are the Triumvirate of Awesome Animated Shows.
sorry...I think you dropped your crack pipe...here you go.

I thought Family Guy was pretty funny. The Animal House parody with Chris in the bathroom was great, the cow kite was excellent and Quagmire with the roofies was classic.

I forgot about that!

"Oh..yeah....the camera! Well, uh...it was a great date! Goodnight!" :shakes her foot goodnight, closes door, then opens it and steals her shoe::

Then you hear him going *SSSNNOOORRTTT** "Ahhhhhhh...." heheheheheh

It was from the episode where they moved down south in the witness protection program. He did the John Belushi trademark "slowly look at the camera" gag....good stuff!

His name is Horace and appeared in "To Live and Die in Dixie" in season 3. His most recent apperance was in episode 401 "North by North Quahog".

i thought it was a good show. i agree with some of the others with stewie's joke to brian...it was funny for the first 15-20 seconds, the rest was hard to watch

that was my favorite episode of the season so far... stewie joshing brian over the novel thing was one of the funniest FG bits ever

I guess I haven't seen enough eps. I had the same issue with the chicken fight and the greased up deaf guy. They were both wtf moments to me. I guess I was just happy that I recognized the monkey in the closet. 😱

Jokes like Christopher Cross Griffin are also references, but they don't interfere with the story line IMHO. Granted, for some, the wtf moments are supposed to be part of the charm of FG.
