"Critics also point to another state “motor-voter” law, AB 1461, that starting in 2017 will automatically register most licensed California drivers to vote, arguing it could lead to election fraud if non-citizens barred from voting in federal elections become registered. State officials said there are safeguards in the system to prevent undocumented licensees from being registered to vote"

you lie.

Not that i don't believe you. But a link to a source would be nice. Cant claim victory without proof :)

Of course that's what the California Law says, it can say nothing else and it was never in question.

So in other words you now acknowledge you were wrong? The DMV forwarding registration information to the Secretary of State in no way registers someone to vote any more than anyone submitting an application to register means they are registered.

This is why you shouldn't take sites like WND seriously and it's amazing you don't know that by now. They exist to rile people like you up by telling you convenient lies they know you will believe. Have a little more self respect.

I somewhat disagree. I would say: stop worrying about self respect. We have been programmed, all of us, you and I too, to seek self respect in external symbols and icons to worship. We have sold our souls for respect because we have been told that we are worthless. You do not acquire self respect. Self respect is ego. The seeking of self respect is the ego trying to add to itself, strengthen its confidence in its own madness be better at pretending. The road to real self respect lies in the emptying of that cup, the surrender to emptiness, the death of all hope for the self. Real self respect is characterized by a complete lack of need for it. We were created in the image of God as it were and need only to mirror that fact dust free. tag is enlightened as he is. He just doesn't know it.

No, the law may say only eligible voters may cast votes, but if registrations are automatically sent out with renewals the ease and temptation of vote fraud increases. What safeguards are in effect after this change in the law? Nothing was mentioned in either article. How will the State of California address the problem? Again, not mentioned.

The registrations are submitted to the California Secretary of State who then evaluates them for approval, the same as any application for voter registration. There is no change under this law other than an increase in the number of registrations the SoS must evaluate. I have no idea why you think this would lead to an increase in voter fraud, as that makes no sense. Are you saying you don't think CA's SoS office is sufficiently staffed to evaluate the increase in registration? If so, why?

It's probably easiest to just admit the WND story was wrong, probably deliberately so, and in the future view their content EXTREMELY skeptically as they are not a credible source.
