OP:

Shack has the preview. It's spoiler-ish so click through at your own peril.

You still have to play through the ending that comes with the game but after you do so, you can keep going through prologue quests and another 10 levels.

Fallout 3 CE is going to be so worth a purchase at the rate they're cranking the DLC out.

Yes. Fallout 3 was an okay game, but when you add up the Total Cost of Ownership, it's not worth it. This is what...the fourth DLC pack?

I'll be all over the "Fallout 3: Gold Edition" when it comes out later with all the DLC for like $20.

Until then, Fallout 3 fans are being blatantly raked over the coals.

If I loved Fallout 3 and haven't played the other 2 expansions should I just buy this one? The level cap extension sounds promising...

well, the other 2 packs have some unique stuff in them that could be fun to use throughout the game. i haven't played the pitt yet as my 360 is out for repair, but anchorage had some cool stuff in it, although it was short. the pitt looks to be the same.

if you were to only buy one, BS would certainly be it. maybe look around for info on the first 2 DLCs and see if there is anything in them you would find worth it.

I'll probably buy all three, just because I'm a Fallout addict. Might wait for a sale for Anchorage, though.

Ya, I'm a bit apprehensive with that. If I buy all the DLC plus this, it's $30. Chances are, they'll release a Gold version within the year with all this plus the Vegas pack for the regular game price.

I'd love to get 'The Pitt' and this one though.

Vegas is looking like a separate game. Not a Fallout 3 DLC. Plus, it won't be out until next year.

i'm kinda pissed when i discovered today that there's no dlc for the ps3 version of fallout 3? that's freaking fail man. i'm not gonna replay on the xbox just for the dlc :/ i invested so much time on the original story line getting most of the special weapons and stuff. sigh.

meh. i just traded my little big planet for the xbox version of fallout 3. i guess i can play it over as an evil character. ended up a saint on the ps3 version. i'll see the evil side this time. always wanted to nuke that starting town...

Anchorage - pretty cool, you enter a VR battleield which allows you to access new or better armor and 1 new weapon [maybe more - I'm mainly using the new weapon]

The Pitt - Mad Max beyond Thunderdome. 🙂

3rd DLC will allow you to play beyond the ending and cap to level 30. They say it'll be about as long as Knights of the Nine for Oblivion which means it'll probably add about 4 hours [30 minutes if you like to just speed run through everything].

In this day and age - $30 price tag isn't too bad for all 3 DLC's. Up to you though - if your a cheap bastard, then wait a year until the GOTY is offered.

I fired up the Pitt for the first time tonight and 15 minutes into it I got stuck in between the wall and the floor in the mill and then it froze all together right after I had collected all of the shit I needed and finally got some weapons and heatlh. GG bethesda. After the first two addons for fallout 3 being thrown together crap I doubt I'll even get the third one. 🙁

It has nothing to do with being a "cheap bastard." The new DLC sounds worth it but the first two just seem to add some extra action at an inflated price.

I got more than my money's worth out of FO3 so I can't complain about the DLC costing extra, but I'm too cheap to pay $10 each for the first two expansions. $5 each would be more like it.

The rumors of a "DLC pack" being sold on store shelves make me think I'm going to wait for that, if only to see if there's a cheaper bundle price, something like that.

More than just rumors.

well, i decided to wait and play through the pitt after i got broken steel. downloading as we speak.

which after the pitt, i still have a bit of the story to get through before the end. can't wait!

The Pitt sucked pretty hard.. I'm getting this last one just for the level cap upgrade and the fact that you can continue on after the 'ending'

I just downloaded the Pitt yesterday to go along with Broken yesterday. I heard very mixed opinions on the former, and it looks like there's a love-hate relationship. Oh well, more material, can't go wrong for me.

Hope you like repetitive linear bullshit filler.
Also it took me like two hours to beat instead of 4-5 like they said.

ugh WTF... I had retrieved the G.E.C.K already but not escaped before loading up this new DLC and when I loaded up my last save it took me back to the Citadel and made me rediscover vault 87 all over again... it only took an hour or so but seriously wtf.
