In defense of my topic:
I titled it "fairly badass computer...." not simply "badass computer..."
Websters 6th definition (and the one I intended for "fairly") is "moderately". In other words "moderately" badass, which obviously is a somewhat lower standard than "straight up badass." I stand by my description and the thread title as being accurate.
Also, under $1000 is not a rule I have imposed, which I know I have not made clear. I spec'd the system without a specific limit in the total cost, it just so happened that it came in under $1000. Having discovered that I thought it was interesting so I incorporated that into the title of the thread.
