That sucks. They should let the people spend their own money on what they want to buy.

Why don't they? Even the crappiest jobs have some basic form of health insurance. I make $7.50/hr and they take about $30/mo from my check. For that, I get $10 check ups, 90% discounts on medicine and other stuff. Even if someone has a much worse work insurance plan, it's still a good deal. You might have to do without something else, but many more people could have insurance if they really wanted it.

That's just children.

Surprised? If you didn't know, you're being fooled. Our economy doesn't work as well as many people would have you believe.

Perhaps, perhaps not, but when an overwhelming percentage of the population does not have adequate medical care, does not have enough money to live on and is living in poverty, something is not right. Something needs to change. And don't give me "it's their own fault"

Whose fault is it then? Are you saying that they are not responsible for their own actions?

Apparently he wants people 'who can afford it' to pay for the people who can't...thus evening the playing field and creating equality between career bums and hard-working people.![]()
