Fack.... dog got a mouthful of porcupine quills.... (pic)

Just a followup on my dog... took her to the vet this morning, where they knocked her out and took out the remaining 7 quills....one or two they had to cut the inside of her mouth and push it out, rather than pulling it out...the grand total wound up being 32-34 quills... the longest one was about two and a half inches and went completely through her tongue... Although she is still swollen, she is doing much better now! I hope she learned her lesson!

If a porcupine hurt my puppies I would don a suit of armor and chase him down and slice him in half with an axe. I don't care how cruel it is, or if the thing was defending itself... my puppies mean the world to me and I have a short fuse when it comes to protecting them.

i wouldn't. stupid dog and a otherwise defenseless wee animal that really only hurts another when purely defending itself.

if another dog attacked my dog, thats another thing all together, i'd use an axe too



can't imagine removing quiills without general anesthesia.
