I think facebook has an PAI that you can use/buy to give your site facebook liek features. A site I've done work for in the past is using it (gurufocus.com)

We buy facebook credits to buy friends. If the cop isn't your friend, ... you will be asked to step out of the vehicle to enter your personal facebook information into their laptop before a double-fine is issued.
 
Yes I hate that FB is now integrated with every website. I just signed up to keep in touch with a few friends, now leave me the fuck alone. I'll go to facebook.com when I want to use facebook.

Amazon and Ebay are really annoying too, listing every damn item and search you've done in the past month. Amazon lets you 'disable' the feature but it's back to tracking your every move about 2 days later. You can keep clearing them but you shouldn't have to. JUST LET ME DO THE INTERNETS ON MY OWN KTHX
