yeah, i'm surprised it's not under $20 or $15 yet.

A lot of those in-the-know are saying the true value of the company is $7-$11 a share. I expect to see pitchforks and torches in front of Mark's house if that happens.

^^^^^^^^^^

Lots of very powerful people are losing lots of money on FB. They are going to owe MZ some payback. I would not want to be him right about now.

i could see zuckerberg getting ousted as CEO after this clusterfuck.

I think he actually set up the offering so he remains in complete control of the company, so there might not be any direct recourse for pissed off investors.

That doesn't mean that he couldn't be pressured in other ways (and I mean legitimate ways, not threatening phone calls, bullets in the mailbox etc.).

Not gonna happen. He has >=56% of all voting shares due to the company's two tier stock system. All the crap sold during the IPO are a different (crappier) tier of stock vs the shares he owns.

How much is he worth with stock at $7 ?

Actually, what often happens with successful entrepreneurs whose stock does not yet have a public market, is that banks step in and lend large amounts against the shares. Those loans are subject to calls if the share price drops below a certain amount, and a young, high-flying company chief can end up in a boatload of financial trouble. I believe in Zuckerberg's case he sold a lot of shares in private transactions, so that's probably where he's gotten his personal operating cash.

I'm still waiting for the restricted period to expire, when most of the employees can dump their shares on the market. Getting my popcorn ready.

I hope you didnt lose your shirt.

No but I put my house up for sale to get it when it gets low. This stock will explode once they buy RIM and make the Facebook Phone and tablet. I just have to wait untill the tax selling.

Maria Bartiromo said a while ago that UBS has losses up to $350 million in Facebook.

Apparently they tried to buy 1 million shares, but it didn't seem like order was getting processed, so they kept resubmitting order.

Then, they later wanted to sell at $35, but order didn't get filled till price got below $30.

Ouch! (looks like Nasdaq really screwed this IPO up)

I think its funny how you all are conditioned to expect a huge pop in an IPO stock and guaranteed profits for all.

Facebook did a smart thing with their IPO and didn't leave money on the table. Isn't that the point of the IPO, to raise funds for the business to continue to grow?

It's been said time and time again that Facebook made a ton of cash and everyone else got suckered. We don't need to beat a dead horse.

Why do you think Facebook's stock will go up if they buy RIM and develop mobile hardware?

Wait, lets take this one step back and simplify the scenario a bit.

Why do you think RIM's resources and IPs makes it a contender in the mobile market?
