Most of you must not watch Fox morning show before work :D

Rick and the son and Chumlee were on this morning with not only the one spider but also a second one which must have been edited out of the show. They gave her $15,000 each and have them priced at $25,000 each.

Wow... $25K. That still seems incredibly cheap. But, when it comes down to it, WTF do I know. (cant watch video at work).

And no... nobody watches "Fox & Friends"... wasn' that a Disney movie?

Are you looking for more drama? Do you want more conflict between the staff? Maybe the bald guy should start sleeping with his son's girlfriend, resulting in endless TV material that has nothing to do with pawning.

where did Peaches go anyway :hmm:

the guy with the civil war desk from his great great grandfather just made me sick to my stomach. there are some things you just dont sell. I have my grandfathers WW1 army uniform he was a bugler on the front in France. his PFC strips have a bugle in the middle of it. no way in hell would i ever sell it.

the spider lady was a moron and could have easily sold that spider for 100K.

Some people either need the money or aren't sentimental. I'm not sentimental at all. I don't keep stuff at all. Just because you are sentimental and want to keep stuff that's important to you, some people aren't.

Also like we've said before, the spider everyone is talking about it NOT the spider that is worth 100k in the article. The pics aren't even the same thing.

Yup sometimes a desk is just a desk, money sitting on furniture is a question of priorities. If you are super comfortable already then fine, you can keep trinkets.

I remember that sword. The guy said his brother gave it to him for helping reset the bricks for his chimney. I remember the appraiser putting on white cotton gloves to handle it and the owner saying at the end that he used it to cut a watermelon at the last family get together.

i don't quite get it, they were filling time? doesn't sound like they were out to make a profit.

not good to destroy your reputation on camera.

i love the show, but 90% of the episodes are the same.

Some customer brings in a rare item.

Rick, "well what do you have for me?"

customer, "this is a solid gold penis. It was actually henry viii's penis removed at his death and then covered in solid gold."

rick, "wow, well i don't know much about these, so let me get a friend down here who specializes in antique solid gold penis to take a look."

cut to rick in the back one-on-one "i don't know if this thing is real, but if it is, i want it. It just depends what i have to pay for it."

then the expert shows up confirms it's real and values the thing at like $500,000. The customer gets starry eyed and starts counting their money.

Rick, "so what do you want to do, pawn it or sell it?"

customer, "i want to sell it!"

rick, "what are you looking to get for it?"

customer, "well the man said $500,000, so i think $500,000 is reasonable."

rick, "i can tell you right now that's not going to happen. How about $1,500?"

customer, "$1,500? The guy said $500,000! $475,000?"

rick, "listen i'm in the business of making money. After i buy it from you i've got to clean it up, that's easily $75,000. And honestly there isn't a lot of demand for henry viii solid gold penis right now."

customer, "ok, $350,000."

rick, "tell you what, i'll go $5,000, but i can't go any higher."

customer, "can you do $7,500?"

rick, "...........ok, $7,500. Lets go do some paperwork."

then the old man yells at chumlee.

The desk was definitely priceless and a one of a kind item but he was using the money to send his girls to college. I don't see any problem with investing in your child's future.

4653 views? Jeebus. People take their Pawn Stars seriously. I didn't think this would snowball like it did.

I can't believe there isn't more online about this Spider yet. In fact this is #1 on Google.

Bottom line is that it's a great show because of the items that are brought in in conjunction with History channel's little factoids so you actually learn something too.

Easily better than any of the crap they have on regular TV (ABC/NBC/CBS/Fox).

American Pickers is also a decent show but I don't really like the annoying hosts.
