I've been watching the progress of this game at virtualr. After seeing the Spa vid... i'm definitely sold. :awe:

FSONE2009 is the closest you'll get to this for the 2009 season for now.
 
Toca Race driver 3 had a hardcore sim mode back in the day. So I'm sure they are going to have one.

This might give me a reason to buy a new wheel.
 
I love a good F1 sim.

The last F12002 made by ISI and published by EA Sports was really good. i wonder how this would stack up to it.
 
Is it worth bying a wheel to play this game. Oh I;m so torn I love F1 but wheels are so expensive. I may just get an Xbox controller and use that.

I know I am going to get flamed for this, but I play all racing games with a keyboard 😛.
 
I've been jones'ing for a real sim style game for a long time. I love flight simulators (namely Falcon 4.0) but it seems that days of ultra-realistic flight sims is gone. Might go with this as a good alternative as I love F1.

Not to get too far OT... but yeah ultra-realistic flight sims seem dead. MS was holding up the civie end until recently... 🙁 And before that there hasn't really been anything since like Falcon 4.0 or some of the Jane's games, e.g., Apache/Longbow, F/A-18, F-15.

Anyway, I just watched some of those videos, and OMG I'm now very excited for F1 2010! Racing games are fantastic. My computer sucks so I play older ones right now... but I'm looking forward to an upgrade soon so I can play DiRT2 and now this.

Heh, yeah. I know I am doing injustice to racing games, but I never really had any experience with a steering wheel. I'll just have to wait until I get a job to spend that kind of money on an accessory(knocks on wood).
 
Q: Was it especially difficult to visualise the Korean track, which is not even complete yet?
SH: Obviously not being able to visit the Korean track to take reference photography or use previous onboard laps as an illustration presents its own challenges. We have been very fortunate to be able to work with the people that designed the track, using the same CAD data that is being used to build the actual circuit to ensure it is as authentic as possible.

The fact that people will be able to race around Korea in-game before the race itself has taken place is exciting.

Its gonna have DX11, cause its using and updated version of the Dirt 2 engine.
