F**K Western Digital

I just bought a western digital HD the other day.

I bought the 200 Gig drive with the ata 133 controller.

Well I got a damn 40 gig HD with no label and an ata 100 controller.

I go and email the bastards and they tell me to bad.

Anyone else have this problem with the bastards.

wrong forum... but.... whats the model # on the drive? maybe your bios doesnt support a 200 GB Drive and reports it as a 40GB

I have the soyo kt-400 plat
I know my board will support it

The HD has no label on it so in other words there is no model # on the drive.

I bought it from Best Buy on the 1st of April

Just got time to install it tonight

wow, sounds like someone switched out the drive? or maybe it's a compatibility issue, anyway, I'm sorry dude, take it back to where ever you got it and give 'em shlt until they give you a refund.

Let me guess if it happened to you, you would just take it in the ass and say to bad?

Well I am not a rich little prick that lives of his parents.

Sorry about the spelling, I fixed it. It is just that this really pisses me off. The drive cost about 300 bucks

return it to bb, this has been happening lately, people buy they drives and swap out the products. And considering bb employees are....um...well ya, they would have not noticed.

Well, Souka, look at his nym! It's RAGE, after all. I guess he just be ragin', man.

Bye, bye, Rage! Just hold out your wrists and wait for the cuffs to click!

thats when you make a scene, tell them to cancel your bb card, and that this will be the last foot you place inside a bb store blah blah blah whats the district managers name & # blah blah blah.

We all know the buck doesn't stop here. There has to be more to this story, than this. I seriously doubt WD would treat a legit complaint like this.I'm NOT saying that this isn't a legitimate complaint. Also, I feel most of the experienced "hot deal members" here would just open up the box, install, and see the reported HD as inaccurate & just give in. We all know there is recourse to a legit mistake in packaging, or labeling. Good advice, check the drive. If in fact wrong drive; simple--- take the drive back. There are varying degrees of recourse that are directly proportional to the degree of resistance encountered. I am usually extremely polite, at first. If that doesn't work, then i move to the next step. Also, credit card companies can be extremely sympathetic to the cardholder. Just my 2 cents
