LOL

I keep saying that.

LOL

I can't raise my Vcore anymore until I change the CPU cooling. I'm also pretty certain that the speeds I have attained are the best I should expect for now. All my questions are for learning and future use.

What are you guys talking about ...

Is it just me (because it's been that time of the month for the last week+) or ... Two single guys messing with us ... or? Must be complete innocence ;)

EDIT: Sid there is a OCing guide in the "CPUs and OCing" forum that might answer some of you questions.

I am talking about this copper plate on the back of the motherboard
Its so close to the holes, you can't use a big nut if the srew came down. Also, no roow if its too long, so the screws need to go from under to above the motherboard like in the pictures I showed.

Edit: click on the picture in the middle, it doesn;t save the exact place I was.

everybody knows you don't want your nuts to go through the backplane.... just tuck them behind the motherboard NEAR the hole!

Thanks GLeeM! for the advice and the chuckle.
I was thinking most of my questions were ones that came about from reading the AnandTech toutorial. I just thought if people liked discussing it, we could. but enough of that...

Thanks Mark, I'm with ya now.

I thought the TAS guys might send me $$ if I got you to tear the PC apart for more pictures.
(just kidding)

I tried to find a toutorial for GLeeM..... but every link wanted me to send money to get the pictures.

I"m trying not to think about anyone else's wife in slinky things! ;)

BUT

For those of you good enough to keep me company in this thread I have a present for you.

I FINALLY found the affinity changing tool for SMP processes to make your crunching more effective. (WindowsXP only)

I highly recommend you give it a try!

(Don't tell the TAS folks! )
