You know the one you like is old, because I was still in 8.3 mode back then. 😀 *

I googled for "computer 8.3 mode" and didn;t get anything that looks like what you are talking about.
More hints ?

I'm starting out small to see if I'm really interested. I have a Shelby Cobra waiting for me to assemble, I'm heading out to hobby town to pick up some paint. I was curious if you usually build plastic, wood or metal? The Cobra I'm working on is plastic but I think it would be awesome to get into wood or metal at some point!
hrrrrm. Coincidence? 🙂
This was (and it's obvious) one of the first websites I ever put together 10+ years ago. My Grandfather worked for Shelby American, and... well. I have lots of stories...

I took my DMV test in a pristine GT350 with 5-point harnesses. The DMV guy was like
I never drove a classic GT-40, but I did get a ride in one from my Mom. Side note: Mums (now passed) used to drag GT500's at Pomona back in the day. And win. Badass. I come from a family of racers. I just halved the wheels, but kept up the tradition.

Well, cars is my other hobby (see sig). One of my favorites was my brothers 66 Sunbeam Tiger, with a 351 Cleveland, and 2.06 rear gears.

I was talking computers in that case. 😀
My personal first car was a '69 Mustang Fastback... (rooting around for pictures....) Hmmph. It was a family hand-me-down. Straight-six 250ci. I put a six-pack on it, then beat it to death. Poor car. Traded it for a P.O.S. 1975 Fiat 128 Spider with no brakes, which after some modifications was actually a LOT of fun to drive..

Its a racing thread, we talk all kinds of race stuff here, computers, cars, whats the diff ?edit: uh, oh, we're gonna get shut down for turning this into a car thread. Hide!

If you don't know what that was....... I was faster than you!
(OK a Shelby would beat my azz, but it was worth it to see one leave a light (and me) behind)

Dayum. You win. 🙂
Mom wouldn't let me out of her sight with the GT350 but that one time. Oh, and once more when she made me fetch some 92 for her. 😉

Funny, Mark thinks computers, I thinks cars. You expose your affinity for Fords. The '65 Mustang did 0-60 in about 8.3 seconds, but I would imagine some of those mobiles pictured could do the 1/4 mile in 8.3 seconds. Shelbies and AC Cobras, yikes. At the time (1965) the AC was the fastest "production" vehicle: 0 - 60 in 4.6 seconds. A 1/4 mile in 8.3? Probably, huh?
