I played it for about 20 minutes earlier. I'm still getting used to the controls. I changed the some of the control keys in the main options but they remain unchanged in multiplayer mode- which is kinda fustrating. Other than that, I thought the graphics were very good and I like how they have different game modes like DM, DTM, and CTF.

i dont get the difference between control and the other one" _______________ all" i forgot what its called. they both look the same.

Seems that I have problem running the game. Anyone else getting 'FEAR has encountered a problem etc....' message when double clicking the icon?

Same here.

Yes, I finally found the culprit. It seems that the problem is caused by Security Update for Windows XP (KB917422) (go figure). Just go to Add/Remove Programs, check Show Updates, and remove the update. It works for me 🙂

Edit: The update fixes this

A security issue has been identified in the Windows Kernel that could allow an attacker to compromise your Windows-based system and gain control over it. You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

So, remove at your own risk 😛

meh, I think it's pretty boring. Looks nice for sure, but gameplay is nothing special, and it feels like you just move so slow....
(goes back to playing UT2004)

I still have yet to get the cd key I tried 2 email addresses and both have all spam stuff off.

I was hitting over 300kB/s on the torrent download.

resign up-u will get a msg stating that this email address has already been used- and the key will be mailed to u immediately!

OMFG you rock! That worked!

I'll take my chances. 😛

This game works great on my system at 1680x1050 almost maxed out.

You have to manually go into your settings.cfg file to set widescreen resolutions though (FOV is automatically adjusted).

Don't you need the original 1 player game to get this add-on?

NO

great game better than most games that actually cost money but why no voice chat? it also needs better objective maps like bomb/defuse.

runs great on dual core too

FEAR is single threaded but its wierd i checked task manager and both cores had pretty high usage. i can post a screeny later.
