IMO, the extended warranty thingies don't add up.
The same operation who would fix it, and charge you are the ones offering the extended warranty to cover the cost.
So, let's think about this...........
Do you really, really, really, deep down believe the people offering this to you just like you so much they would push
to sell you what makes them the least money?
Perhaps, if you know from your own past experience, you are not able to use and maintain a product in a way which
allows it to reach it's expected lifetime the extended warranty is a good thing.
For myself, I let the mfgr. warranty take care of the infant failures and TLC take care of the long term.
(perhaps a risky strategy, but it has served me well so far)
