i find its most often used as a "nice" way of saying "youve/weve been doing shit completely wrong up until now, how about in the future you/we do it correctly instead?"

financial porn? why is my job bereft of this benefit? 🙂

rofl, good point.

"So, what does this mean for BP, going forward?"

My peeve is "going forward."

Going forward, I propose we concentrate on our core competencies and transition away, enterprise wide, from employing "going forward" in our environmentally sensitive paradigm of the paperless office.

This is a robust strategy, and will allow us to leverage a re-engineering of our thought process, going forward.

Metrics

As in we need a seven axis graph of chocolate chips per cookies eaten per employee per year of service per dollar of salary per hour worked per day. I'm glad I'm not in management. 😛

"we have to save the earth","we have to save the earth","we have to save the earth","we have to save the earth","we have to save the earth","we have to save the earth","we have to save the earth","we have to save the earth"..

Drill, baby, drill!

"In conclusion"
"In today's society/world"
Tweet, Tweeted, or any conjugation thereof
"This is a tough economy"
Anything about stimulus packages (not as big a deal now as 3-5 months ago)

"Eco-KOOK"
"Eco-Nazi"
"Eco-Terrorist"
The sad part is, I do agree with that specific statement. (Though not his general philosophy.)

"We have to save the Earth."
It'll do just fine. We're just part of the thin, sticky coating of life that Earth has. Any problem we may or may not have is with the razor's-edge of an ecology we depend on to survive.

I have actually seen a (nearly) paperless shop. The facility was large, and keeping track of multiple copies of a work order, all potentially different from one another due to notes added, was just not feasible. Everything is accessible by computer terminals all over the place. (And they use Firefox.🙂) All changes are stored at one central location. Nothing gets printed until a shipping label or tag is needed for the physical material that's being stored or shipped.

socialist
marxist
communist

I don't like seeing these words because people have absolutely no idea what any of them mean.

"it felt like a good idea at the time"
Of course it was. Why else would you have done it!?!?

Most of the meme's used on this site I find annoying. It's like people click on a website and automatically turn into a sheep typing like everyone else because they want to fit in.

"Everyone knows this"
"Blank something is blank"

There are more of these idiotic phrases, but I guess I've wiped them from my short term memory.
