Damn

"Terry Pennington, 52 and from the outskirts of Charlotte, had waited in the rain since 9pm on Thursday, some 22 hours before Trump was scheduled to speak. He was wearing a camouflage jacket he had customized to read “Constitution Enforcement – protected by the 2nd Amendment”. He had no doubt about what lay behind the arrest.

I bet $500 they are lying,” he said. “I bet it was a liberal who did it. Have you stopped to think why those bombs were only sent to high-level Democrats? They are trying to make it look like Donald Trump is encouraging terrorism.”

He added: “The truth is, the liberals are the terrorists
.”

His wife agreed.

“It seems like a lot’s been planted to make it look like a Trump supporter did it,” said Carrie Pennington, 48.

In her view, the arrest of a suspect with clear ideological ties to Trump was an elaborate distraction from an impending rout by Republicans in the midterm elections.

“They’re just trying to deflect us from voting and focusing on the red tsunami that’s about to hit,” she said."

...

"Trump’s devoted followers in the sports arena were also scathing about that. Kathy Chenette, 62, a realtor from Mooresville, North Carolina, said she had read on Twitter that the same configuration of stickers on the back of the van had been photographed on the side of the van.

This was obviously Photoshopped,” she said. “I think it’s a distraction against the invasion of illegal immigrants at the border. It’s all set up by Soros.

The United States needs to take off the leather jacket, put down the water skies and climb out of the pool. The sooner, the better.

The level of stupidity, the projection and the where-have-I-heard-that-before phrases like "The truth is, the liberals are the terrorists” remind me of a certain, retarded, Slow poster...

If Trump has any sense, he'll make sure his people canvas the crowd near the stage and remove inflammatory signs at the rally in Charlotte tonight (I.e. any with rhetoric similar to that pasted all over the MAGAvan) so that they don't show up on TV.

It would be great if this starts off a push back against some of the insanity that's been pushed recently.

That's a pipe dream but thanks for the laugh!

It's self sealing denial of conspiracy theory. It's appalling.

So is there more than one suspect? I would think there would almost have to be.

If bombs continue to be mailed out, we'll find out if there is more than one suspect, or a copy cat.

Where has Roooo ROOOO Roooo been lately, btw?

They're the modern Know Nothings. Same fears, same hates and prejudices, same actions/reactions. The new ingredient in the fetid mix is modern day fascism.

It won't be the dems that do that, it's the Republicans and that movement has already started. We've already seen this play before, they were called the "know nothings" before they were called the Republicans.

The silver lining is that after this new party comes out, it will die and a new, better, more sane party will emerge.

no idea where he is.
I just think one person could not logistically carry this out. But it's wait and see how it does shake out.

What was Cesar doing for money? Mooching of his parents? Seminole Nation said he didn't belong to the tribe, so not actually getting a share of that Hard Rock Casino money.

Yet he had $7000 worth of Trump branded clothing and paraphernalia. I see him at rallies and even a few photos of him wearing suits at private events.

Those guys above have the collective IQs of a a beet, two carrots and a potato. I knew a guy awhile back that said voters should have to pass an IQ test to vote. I laughed, but he was half serious, and this was 15 or more years ago.

Reading shit like this almost makes me want to agree with him.

They're not stupid, they're just easily manipulated by fear and in denial of that fact. That makes them very dangerous people.

These people are fucking retarded.

I think forced sterilization is evil....but damn, as Chris Rock said: I understand.

Continue to out these people. Like this moron Kathy Chenette, 62, a realtor from Mooresville from the article. Who so articulately stated:

She had read on Twitter that the same configuration of stickers on the back of the van had been photographed on the side of the van.

“This was obviously Photoshopped,” she said. “I think it’s a distraction against the invasion of illegal immigrants at the border. It’s all set up by Soros.”

They have blind spots, avenues where propaganda can & does get to them. They're as intelligent as the rest of us about everything else.

Every trump supporter I've personally met are pretty smart people when it comes to what they do for a living. Anything outside that though...not very smart at all. Sometimes they lack people skills (as in they are the type to talk to people too long) but not always. But damn if you get them talking about politics, its nothing but regurgitating what they've been told from crooked Hillary to the deep state and evil liberals. They've been completely brainwashed. I'm not sure if the seeds were planted by Limbaugh back in the day or if Glenn beck and the fox "news" crew did it but either way, they no longer live in reality.

Is Fox News the primary propagator of the "Evil Soros" cult like mentality of the 50+ age group? I had a former boss who was in her late 50's and she was ranting on and on about Soros before the 2016 election. Same with my aunt who is an early 50's hateful bag of shit.

The Trump-Soros thing goes back to the 70s, when NYC was in such bad shape that there was serious talk of selling off Central Park to fund the city. As a real estate developer, Trump was all over this, but Soros thwarted his plans by financially backing the then-its-in-infancy Central Park Conservancy, which not only saved the park but made it a huge success maintained mostly by private funds, and a major source value and income for the city.

If democratic institutions ever take hold of power in your nation again.. I would find democratic ways to shut down cancer spreading information highways like fox, breitbart, sinclair... The conservative billionaire masterminds behind these mass brainwashing institutions is messing people up to the point of brain damage. There is too much of it, its the worst possible side of capatalism in extreme efforts to implode onto itself and external actors is pushing for this very narrative to gain critical mass.. Maybe it already has critical mass and Putin is right. You are done for. There is massive democratic early voting going on right now, the blue wave is a real thing, but If November is hacked and stolen I dont see a way back for you guys..

But the GOP and now-Trumptardians have been all over Soros for more than a decade now, well before they suddenly decided that Trump was a good, godly man, instead of the narcissist failure of a prick that they used to believe he was.

Their Soros hate predates Trump, and it was really fed by the flames of classic anti-semitism: just substitute Soros for the Rothschilds, and it's the exact same ridiculous claims, and it re-uses the exact same fear-based lies and paranoia. Fact is, Soros was a child of poor parents, who grew up poor and under Nazi occupation, fled to escape extermination, and educated himself (London, I think). ALL of his funding has always been blatantly transparent--it's called the Open Society Foundation ffs. Retarded republicans have been informed that "Open Society" means evil globalism and open borders! Which is fundamentally untrue and crumbles on the first attempt of any due diligence: it simply refers to a mission of complete transparency when it comes to philanthropy. His causes are almost exclusively related to poverty, education, healthcare--you know, the evil things that Jesus said not to do. He's a big democratic donor because these have been the democratic party's bread and butter platforms for a generation. They have to claim that Soros is some shadowy, evil hook-nosed goblin. And it's hilarious when you ask yourself: How can a foundation that is fundamentally devoted to complete transparency in any and all philanthropy, also the super secret cabal behind all of the evil in the world?

The guy doesn't hide behind Super PACS and dark money-funded attack groups that register as empty offices in the Cayman Islands (Kochs, Mercer). ...eh one could go on, but the absolute fact is that every goddamn single thing that they believe Soros is doing, is exactly what the Kochs and Mercer are. full stop. ANd none of these Trumptardians ever ask a single question regarding their sourcing.

Just know that whenever you read someone mention Soros in this way, it's nothing more than classic anti-semitism, spread by the exact same people that you would expect to revive a long-known American Nazi rallying cry like "America First!" History has long determined this speech to be fundamentally fascist, fundamentally racist, and 100% piped into the open brains of the ignorant by monied, unprincipled, fundamentalist fascists. It is only ever as it has been. IT hasn't changed. We've been here before and we'll keep coming back to this point as long as the easily-duped rightwing minions continue to want to believe in this nonsense.

Sadly I have to agree. There's such a deep divide that even if Democrats somehow retake both the House and Senate and start setting things right, there's no way we can heal as a country - way too many people have joined the Cult of Trump, and Trump/the GOP will simply continue to divide the nation.

I'd rather see them make voting easier, free and easily accessible voter IDs, turning election days into national holidays, more polling places etc. Having a fucking 40something% turnout is abysmal. I think if it was easier for everyone to get to the polls common sense would win out, that's why you see the GOP trying to suppress voters every single election.
