Didn't know a package was found at a restaurant owned by Robert De Niro. It’s possible that he was targeted for Dirty Grandpa and not politics. Too early to tell.

I guess De Niro should not have told Trump to go get his fucking shoe shine box

Amazing how thousands of people can mobilize and move hundreds of miles on foot efficiently with meals and water along the way. Did they send a bomb? Nah, that's not very likely. But I wouldn't be surprised if someone helped pull the strings here.
I guess you've never heard of Moses freeing his people from Egypt.

According to the NYPD and the FBI the devices were crappily made but functional. Unless their opinion changes that seems to rule out your hunch. If your goal is to send a scary message but not hurt them it seems like sending them a working bomb is a really bad idea. Why not just use the go-to white powder?

I am leaning more towards this person is young and inept.
Could very well be true, but an hours research will get you all the information you need to build a proper bomb.
My buddies and I used to make pipe bombs when we were kids. Even without any instructions it only takes two or three attempts to figure out what works and what doesn't. We were just kids playing around and got some pretty impressive explosions.

The forum posters here certainly make it sound like the time for civil discourse has passed. To go so far as denouncing the minority leader for not being divisive.
Outside of people being upset by Schumer's both sides bullshit, who in the left in this thread is calling for an end of civil discourse? The vast majority are bitching about how the president and majority party have ended any even feigning of civil discourse.

The fucking president of the United States is blaming the media for upsetting his fans to the point of bombing people and a huge chunk of Republicans are so mind warped they think it was a false flag attack with no evidence. But yeah, blame the Democrats for being upset that Schumer pulled a classic Trump both sides.

What's sad is these bombs will likely energize the Republican base and Trump's dick sucks were still all doing their idiotic chants last night. But yeah, you're right, it's the left that wants to end civility.

He's a feckless, gutless, and selfish political operative that has been totally ineffective at organizing his party's opposition on the administration's agenda.

The correct posture for someone in his position is absolute outrage that Republican leaders have encouraged and continue to encourage the violent extremists on the right, not some phony appeal to civility from "both sides".

When Trump said, with apparent seriousness, that

"In these times we have to unify, we have to come together and send one very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of political violence of any kind have no place in the United States of America."

First, I checked multiple sources, because it didn't sound like Trump at all. I honestly cannot imagine why Trump gives two fuzzy rats' asses about political violence directed at Democrats. He has shown no signs of this before. Then..when I watched the video of him saying it... It was painfully obvious that he'd been arm-twisted into making the statement - I've seen more enthusiastic narration in hostage videos.

When you listen to him talk, you can clearly tell whether he means it or not. When he gets all serious and talks in a low, steady voice, you know it's 100% BS and somebody is making him say it. When he's all riled up, he's being "genuine."

His latest tweets about the media are just more proof that he only wants to divide the nation, and is actively encouraging political violence.

Maybe he is doing the responsible thing in calling for calm and civility so that the people you don’t think exist don’t escalate the situation.

Why was Obama's flag pin and tan suit a story? Don't pretend non-stories like this are unique to Trump.

Now if you want to discuss a mainstream media lie about Trump I'm all ears.

The difference is I can agree that a news story about a flag pin on Obama's tan suit is an absolute attack story and stupid. You seem to have a problem with agreeing that the media is actively attacking Trump. Now you are moving the goal posts from the media lying about and attacking Trump to it's not unique to Trump. Those are not the same thing.

The media attacks everyone that gets in their sight. We love a good controversy. This is nothing new. But Trump intentionally creates controversy, and much of it is legitimate news that it would be irresponsible of the news to not report.

No, you moved the goal post and tried to make it about the press covering every little thing trump does when the conversation was about the press lying about what trump does.

You are a dishonest, trump ball fondling, piece of shit.

The press was being dishonest in the situation I cited, as I was asked to do.

The media lies and spins, this is just reality.

Not moving goalposts. What I'm saying if the media reports a negative story on Trump its not an attack, it's reporting if it's true and relevant.

Example if Trump lies about what he had for breakfast, that would be an attack. Trump lying about Obama's birth is valid.

Do you consider the media reporting on Trump lying an attack or doing their job?
Do you have an example of the mainstream press lying about Trump?

Video doesn't lie. If he doesn't want to look like the insane Nazi that he is, he needs to start hiding from the cameras. All the media does, is play his past in front of him.

If this conversation were about anybody other than Trump, FBI SWAT teams would be kicking down doors and dragging people away. There's almost no difference between Trump and what he's saying, and John Gotti putting out a hit on someone.

While no one wants to admit it, that's exactly what Donny has done with his language. He's put out contracts on 10 people, and Trumpanzees are scrambling to excuse his behavior.

And now the fbi is saying two packages were found addressed to Maxine waters.

Also, the bombs carried a parody ISIS sticker created by a right wing parody site created by Scooter Van Neuter, a contributor to Breitbart and the Daily Caller.
