<< wow... imagine if all that pent up rage, fury and energy were directed into something useful... GET OVER YOURSELVES.... there just goddamn cars... you use them to get around... there not the end all and be all of your existence... don't let some fricking hunk of metal define you... >>
You're right. I drive an old car (2 right now, actually) and I don't care what others think. I've bought myself "nice" cars in the past, but overall they didn't do anything for me. They're less fun because you need to worry about them, scratching them, and being upside-down on a loan. I can drive the freaking holy hell out of my old cars and have a great time doing it and if it breaks, I'm out between $600 and $2000. Big whoop!
I love driving and I enjoy talking about cars and engines, but as far as personal transportation goes, a car is just a car. If a carefully chosen $2000 car gets me everywhere that a recklessly purchased $40,000 car would, I'm happy as a clam. Your comments fit much better in any of the many, many car threads that have degraded into arguments and flames. Let us have our conversations about engine technology and either read and learn, or stay out.
Yes everyone, please lighten up.
