So I bought a domain name from RackShack, Do I just have to enter those as the name servers?
Also for some reason when I try to do the "Transfer external DNS" thing I keep getting "Domain temporary not available" is this because I just bought the name last night?

Yes, you have to wait usually over 24 hours for the changes to take effect.
If you just uploaded without doing anything else, it should be in your / directory. For example, if you wanted a link to a file and had no domain, it would be, http://s98765432.onlinehome.us/file.zip. Your unique "s98765432...." sub-domain should be listed in the Domain Overview page.I want to be able to link to the files for downloading.
Yup. If you want to be extra careful, most registrars nowadays have a "lock" feature. If you turn these on, they'll pretty much ignore any requests from other people to grab your domain.so, if i register a name thing with rackshack, i won't have to worry about 1and1 holding it hostage, or whatever the grievances were, right?
