The media is being a real bitch about his execution... sure he's a murderer <call him what you want> but the scrutiny that they have placed upon him is absurd.

seriously though, does two wrongs really make a right? I'd figure civilization has progressed enough to avoid the eye for an eye practices...i think the death penalty is appropriate in this case, but all the talk about torture or whatever is pretty carnal...

My biggest problem with the death sentence is determining the true guilt of someone. There are to many cases of people being proved innocent of crimes while they are rotting away in prison.

With the McVeigh case, we all know there was other people involved. If we kill him now, then he will never have an opertunity to tell us who helped him, or answer questions many years from now, when new questions will arise. I think the goverment is in a hurry to destroy eveidence in this case.

Yes, I am a supporter of the death penelty, but with this stipulation; That if a judge or lawyer withholds evidence that would have proven the convicted to be innocent, and the innocent has been executed, then the judge/lawyer that withheld evidence is now guilty of murder, and must die. If the person has done only time, then the withholder must do equal time plus 10 years for there criminal misconduct, and for there revoking the trust placed in them by the commuinity. That would keep more people honest, I think!

As an aside, is it not funny that we will kill this man, but as for traitors who give loads of information to our enimies, we through them behind bars for awhile. Like, for instance, all our nucler missle secrets that were given to China by the Klinton crew. What ever happened to capitol punishment for treason?

Actually the downtown YMCA was damaged beyound repair and is now slated for demolition. Many people don't realize that over 100 buildings were damaged beyond repair because of that explosion. A car servicing garage 4 miles away (to the north) had it's service doors ripped off.
My daughter, whose house was located 7 miles away said that it sounded like an airplane crash.
