The skinks in colder climates chose to keep their eggs inside to help keep them warm.

It's not a mental decision. They're perfectly capable of keeping their eggs warm. Besides, it's Australia. It's a billion degrees there every day.

I'm missing the earth shattering evolutionary science.

Some skinks lay eggs, some hatch the eggs within their bodies, and some have mammal-like placentas.

Okay.

so their body hasnt evolved, per se, but they got smarter and have begun to make more rational decisions about when to pop out offspring?

And if the get just a little smarter, they will obviously evolve directly into dolphins.

Which will be AWESOME.

Okay.

Imagine if some humans laid eggs.

Of course you're missing the "earth shattering" science because it's not earth shattering. Read the article. I'm just waiting for you to make some sort of religious comment. :) Can't wait!

And this concludes another demonstration of Poe's Law.

BTW I used that page as my reference because not only does it supply the definition, the rest of the page characterizing Poe's Law is particularly hilarious. :awe:

No one that I know of has any issue with microevolution. Macroevolution is the issue. When a skink becomes a new species or gives birth to a primate, let me know.

I thought the issue with skinks was that they have been dropping their limbs for the last 3.6 million years.

"According to a 1999 study"..... Wow, this is timely!
SEE!!! :awe:

The awesomeness, it is beautiful.

Maybe the ones that hatch their eggs internally are vacationing in Thredbo.

Explain the evolutionary breakthrough here and I might be impressed.

Your religious brainwashing makes you incapable of understanding and accepting such theories, so why bother? :)

Besides, it's beneath me to bother explaining such simple and widely accepted concepts to an adult.

Have you always had a superiority complex or did you recently acquire it? I hope you didn't pay to much for it because it's unbecoming on you.

Think about it this way. Let's say your IQ sits right at the 50% mark. That means that every 2nd person you meet is going to be dumber than you are.

The smarter you are, the better the odds are that the person you're staring at is going to be dumber than you are.

I've met a LOT of dumb people and I'm going to say that about 90% of them were in the church body.

Getting back to my original point, apparently some skins lay eggs, some hatch their eggs internally, and some have a mammal-like placenta.

Okay, so what?
