Ok, I got home from school and I rush to my room and I find my cable modem installed.   So I go look at it and he installed it through USB.  I threw out the USB cable and plugged in my Ethernet wire.  Then I looked around the papers for the installation and they did not have my ip or user/pass for my e-mail.  I had to call tech support and be on hold for 20 minutes and 10 more minutes because there "network" was slow.  So I finally got my ip and got my cable working.  I am glad I finally got broadband  but I am also pissed off because the @home techy sucks! Im currently in the customer support chat room waiting in line at #40 to get my user/pass.  Anyone else have bad expereinces with cable techys?
