But the board contains THREE times as much gold content in the CPU socket. If I was to guess I would imagine a normal MB would have about a bucks worth, THREE TIMES MAN! I looked at the pics, it sure looks nice, the IO plate has a lot of USB ports but I don't see how Evga thinks $440 for this is resonable at all. Now I know Newegg will probably sell it for slightly less, but damn it's not like it has USB3 or even built in WiFi. Seems very expensive & not a good deal to boot. I'm sure some people will run to buy this, but it doesn't have any features I can't find on another MB. I'm not even entirely sure what the 3x gold in the cpu socket is good for? I mean ok it's better, but why do we need it?
DFi needs to counter with a $600 super uber board. I mean I could buy a Lanparty x58 and it will glow in the dark. EVGA can't even give me UV and expect me to pay $440 HA! Evga also says "the socket is anodized a slick shiny black!" Awesome I MUST HAVE IT! Wait, once I put a CPU in and toss a heatsink on the fact it's black means nothing at all. Actually with a CPU alone the socket wouldn't be visible lol. This MB might have been one of the worst ideas ever. All the features they're hyping are pretty lame. Even if this turns out to be the best x58 MB on the market, the price is still ridiculous.
