evga gtx260 and 260 SC

$30 price drop at the Egg, after $10 rebate on the SC, makes the base and SC same price, $269.

edited post to say "after $10 rebate" instead of "with"

Actually looks like these are $239 and $249 for the stock and SC, respectively.

$30 MIR link

The GTX 260 reportedly overclocks as well as the GTX 280, hitting 650-700MHz speeds with ease. Smoking hot!

Just another FYI, there is a $25 coupon code on the SC edition.

VGA724X25. $245 for a factory OC 260!!!

This is nuts. It would be $243 shipped (free) AND taxed!

Well, I was off by just a bit. It's actully $255 shipped, with either an "offical" $10 rebate, or if you can swing it, the $30 rebate that isn't listed on the product view, but is on neweggs site.

Hmmm... jump on this or do the eBay/MS deal...

Has anyone actually gotten their money back through the Live deal?

Nobody did because there is 60 day "waiting" period.

nice find on the code op!

Yea, it's in my cart too. I'm holding out just a little longer to see if we can get conformation on whether the $30 rebate works still or not. I guess either way, it's still the cheapest $260 out.

shipped means the money you pay. So it is 255$ shipped - 30$ MIR = 225$ final price.
People like to see the shipped amounts because the price of shipping varies, and because you don't always get the MIR. (for example, ordering 2 or 3 for SLI will only get you the MIR on one of them, also sometimes the MIR just doesn't pay).

Still, awesome deal, I ordered one.

i accidently made a duplicate of this thread... in case it is closed, here is a SUMMERY of evreything you need for a 225$ GTX260 in a single post:

This eVGA GTX260 SC edition
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814130372
can be combined with the following promotional code for a 25$ discount: VGA724X25

Result: 245$ = 255$ with free 3 day shipping and a 10$ MIR.

This eVGA GTX260 stock
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814130370
is 270$ with free shipping

This rebate here lists BOTH of these cards (obviously you want to use it instead of the 10$ rebate):
http://images10.newegg.com/upl...IRsJul8Jul3108tl24.pdf

For cards purchased until the 07-31-2008 from newegg for 30$ MIR... it is not linked to from either card. but it does list their item number and appears to be valid!

999 out of 1000 people can figure out what I meant. 😕 But, if you need figure it out by typing out a new thread, well, hey, that's cool too.

You really should give Sticks435 credit for the code in your duplicate thread. It was discussed here as well as multiple forums on the web quite a few hours before your post.

What? this has nothing to do with each other. I didn't see this thread and created one, then I noticed yours and copied the condensed info into here since mine should be locked as a duplicate.

The advantage of my post is that it combines all the links you need, the product, the promo code, and the MIR into one post, instead of having to read the whole thread to find each individual one. The first post should really be edited with the new info.

I was going to bite on the 4870.
No longer!
Just bit and remain to be an Nvidiot for now.😱
My 3rd g/c in a year.
Damn crazy!!!!
Thanks OP & AMD/ATI:beer:

Ugh I want to wait longer to see how much the 280 drops, but my secondary rig could really use the 8800gt in my primary, which could also use a boost to bump the graphic effects up at 1920@1200. Ugh the decisions.
