EVGA GTX-590 Quad-SLI Benchmarks

So I finally got my system up and running and everything is working great.

Ran a couple of benchmarks and here they are:

I have never used 3DMark 11 before so I'm not sure how to gauge those scores. I am using EVGA GTX-590 Classified Quad-SLI @ 630MHz.

Gaming is simply superb! I get about 80-115GPS @ 8100x1600 in BC2 with all the settings at 'HIGH', 2x MSAA, 16xAF, HBAO OFF, and V-Sync OFF and about 75-110FPS in Bulletstorm @ 8100x1600 with NO AA but all settings 'HIGH'.

Idle temps are less than 40C and load temps are 80-85C. That is with the fan at 75% manually set in EVGA Precision.

Here are some pics of my rig & setup:

WoW, I'm still trying to absorb that case, what is that ?
Congratulations on the high end surround setup.

WOW, that case is so OTT...LOL....I so like blue on black.....hey, there is a song with that title!
Thats a wicked setup mate....You just need a decent wheel for racing now!

nice setup although the most important thing to me I cannot see/tell, the sound setup. How are you setup for audio?

Edit: Nevermind I had to blow up the picture and see those rinky dink speakers he has between the monitors. Any plans on upgrading those? It would be an awful waste with that setup if you kept those the same...

For the reference I get 5184 on 2x6990 in CF @ stock 830 MHz. Hopefully this will go up once they are on water.

Thanks for the compliments guys! It was an exciting experience building this rig and getting it to come together the way it has!

The case is Mountain Mods Ascension CYO; the best case IMO due to the sheer size and interior space of the thing. The fan setup really helps me keep things relatively cool for AIR cooling. so I'm quite happy with it.

Interesting...so that clearly demonstrates that NVidia's and AMD's clocks are completely unrelated when comparing performance.

Under water, I'm sure you can OC that 6990 to 950+ MHz and I think that's the only drawback with the GTX-590s (OC headroom). However, I am really happy with my rig and I bet you are with yours.

Now this makes me a sad panda .. All that kit and no OC'ing to death :x

Nice case, you might consider 200mm fans for the next one, it's silent 😉

yeah, under water it should go up. I noticed that my #1 card is running at 550MHz, because the 2nd card is covering up 1st cards air intake.

$1300 for each monitor... wow... I need a better paying job before i can get that set-up... I knew I should have been a doctor instead of a nuclear engineer....

wow! so the 6990 throttles depending on heat or some other factor? Can you post some pics of your rig? Did you leave a gap between your GPUs like I have? Thankfully, I have the Delta 120mm right above the GPUs so they suck the hot air right out of the case.

During load, however, the GPUs reach 80-85C. How hot do yours get?

The dual GPU cards are always going to be hotter than their single GPU counterparts.
