That seems reeeeeaaalll low. I get ~5600 with mine in '06. I don't even bother with '05 anymore.

The quick specs are 3000+ venice @2.43ghz, 2gig ram, stock GTO, asus a8n-e. I will dl 06 at work and try that tonight when i get home. I havent tried overclocking yet either..

I have to agreed with Penn too. It's way too low for 05's for your card.
Mine is above 10k for 05 and in the 6Kish for 06. See sig

thats what i figured.... I have checked and rechecked my settings, I think its cause i fooled around with my dirextx settings / files messing with that spamware ea demo of BF 2142. I have 91.47 forceware, and all my games are experiencing weird benchmark results.

CS:S stress test, I get 78fps with settings maxxed @ 1280rez. I get the same score if I turn off AF and AA or set it to 8x AA and 16x AA.

It's not that they're gone forever. LOL
In a couple of weeks they stores will get restocked at the same or better prices.

^ Perhaps, but the GTO is a limited production card. Notice that sellers are removing the item from their site all together, not just saying sold out.
If mwave was getting more in a few weeks, would they really raise the price $70? I'm not so sure.

Very often they do raise the prices when the inventory is getting low.
Besides those are video cards, with quick design cycles.
Just wait a little longer and you'll find some other, better deals.

NewEgg gave me the shaft on mine :(

I had to pay MO since my CC has taken a real beating this month, damn cards sold out in the few days it took priority mail to get it to CA, Even after telling me yesterday it wouldn't affect my order today they have nothing more to say than "you're Sol we're OOS, and you can't get your money back any faster than normal, I don't know who told you it being OOS wouldn't affect your order even though you ordered while it was still in stock, wanna buy something cheaper with the credit while we wait a week for no reason to draft a check? and no we can't use it as partial payment on a more expensive item"

When these gone. They're gone forever.
The GTOes which were the afterthought manufactured from the GTXes leftover PCBs.

evga have enough for warranty replacements or will they have to substitute the next closest model (7900gtx)? I have seen it before where someone sends back there dead evga 6800gt and they get a 7600gt replacement.

Well someone on the hardforum had a 7900GTO that he had to send back and the tech told him that he might get a 7950GT as a replacement if they weren't any more GTO's left. So I'm guessing/deducing that the closest replacement in their eyes is a 7950GT.

Slightly unrelated question but I got this card a week ago and ran some benchmarks on it with my FX55. I haven't yet attempted to overclock it but might play around with it this weekend.

Is 3dmark06 dualcore optimized? I pull right around 5k in '06 with my FX55. I'm considering throwing my x2 3800+ in real quick to see if there's a significant difference.

I get a similar score with a 3200+ @ 2.5. I think the CPU has a lot to do with it since the CPU test is optimized for dual core.
