Asus P4PE, P4 2.4 (not overclocked) with stock HSF - Idle at 35°
System at 23°
After an hour of UT2K3, my cpu is about 48° - not that hot, but it seems like that is a big jump, no?

Temps checked with MBM 5.

Hmm...my CPU idles at 26.5C/79F stock heatsink/fan on my P4 2.53 under full load it goes to 39C/102F room temp is 74F

I am using an Asus P4T533 Mobo

Thing is 56c under load and has been on very nearly constantly for like 2 years now (I render a lot of home movies) Thunderbird 1.2. Not overclocked 95% of the time.

I've tried to make the thing cooler, 6 case fans blowing heat, switched retail fan it had for 1 year with Thermaltake Volcano heatsink, temperature did not change.

But as I say its been running for 2 years that hot with 0 problems. so...

Been doing things for over 4 hours, so I checked:
ABIT KX7-333R
XP2100+
Alpha PAL8045
Y.S. Tech adjustable @ 3,800 RPM

System Temp = 29C
CPU Temp = 48C

There are Qty (4) 120GB HDD's to help heat it up,
in a Lian-Li Aluminum Case

my cpu paste/as3 is not applied correctly right now, so my system shuts down :Q when it hits 60C. right now 50-51C with a OCZ Goliath heatsink with 60mm ttake fan. replacing with HAC-V81 X-Dream tomorrow.

athlon xp 1700+ palomino no o/c

Asus P4PE, 1.8A@2.6 temp shows 35C for CPU and 22C for mobo. Alpha PAL on chip with just a red LED fan , I have an panaflo but haven't put it on the Alpha yet.

XP 1600@1.817ghz 1.8vcore
Idle: 35c
Load: 49c
Sys:19c (does not really change, case lays flat with the side open)

P4 1.6A @ 2.5, 1.625v
Alpha PAL8942 with a Papst 46cfm fan fitted to a fanmate so I don't know the actual cfm output of it.

CPU: 37c idle.
Case: 34c (have 6 hd's in a miditower case and a GF4 = hot case)

(only come close by CoolerMaster and some TT stuff 😛)

CPU: Thunderbird-C 1GHz@1.233GHz (1.775v)
Motherboard: EPoX 8KHA+
Heatsink/Fan: OCZ Gladiator/Thermaltake 5K RPM 60mm
Ambient: 25C
Idle: 42C

Athlon XP 2000+ with the dynatron retail fan and heatsink.
cpu 46c idle 50c load motherboard 24c
Msi K7T Turbo LE
Antec sx 1040 case 4 80mm sunon 42cfm case fans.

Same cpu and cooler in the same case with an MSI K7N2-L Nforce 2 board
Cpu 53c idle 61c Load Motherbord 33c.

I think that certainly illustrates just how much board readings can vary on cpu temp.
I am assuming the the readings from the turbo board which used a socket thermistor were just way to low and the K7N2-L readings are much closer to the mark and taken from the onchip diode. I'm a little skeptical at the A7N8X boards temps. They just seem to low for diode readings from the die surface.

My (very old) 1800+ idles at 32 degrees with my AX-7 and Y.S. tech fan on the lowest setting. My system temp hovers from 22-23 degrees.

System 1
32 celcius. P4 1.6GHz @ 2.4GHz. Retail P4 cooling.
Jumps to 57 celcius under full load though 🙁
ASIII

System 2
35 celcius. AMD Athlon 750MHz @ 1.13GHz. Goliath heatsink with 80mm fan adapter sporting a Vantec Stealth 80mm fan.
43 Celcius under full load 🙂

System 3
65 Degrees Farienhieght. P4 2GHz @ ?.??GHz. Alpha 8942 sporting a 80mm Vantec stealth.
Temp under load...???
Must finish building the system.

System in sig below. Standard temps:

39C Idle CPU; 41-45 load, depending on what is playing 🙂
25C Case temps
Using MBM😎

Heh I can choose any idle temp I want, since I have fan-controllers for every fan in my rig. It's more about noise than anything else.
