Although this is a slightly bit off topic on the thread, it mostly encompasses an idea on a pun of the title of the thread. Just listen. We all know most of the military supports the Republicans. Thus in theory, every liberal Democrat's nightmare would be a senate or house bill that tries to make Guantanamo Bay a state. It would have a very high chance of voting for Republicans. The other problem would be that they can easily convince those in the House and Congress who support giving residency to illegal immigrants as humanitarian aid. The reason being the next door neighbor to Guantanamo Bay is basically Cuba. Furthermore, they could claim it would give more flexibility on the ability to gain intel info on Cuba. Currently all orders in Guantanamo Bay are followed directly from the Federal Government.

You dont know that.

You believe it.

What the fuck did I just read?

That's long been my theory — that Republicans are inadvertently setting themselves up for long-term failure by focusing all their energy on the white, straight Christian vote. There may well come a point at which the demographic has changed enough that even the GOP's more serious voter suppression efforts won't work.

I'm not expecting this shift to be large enough by 2024 or even necessarily 2028, but if and when it happens, the GOP is in trouble. It doesn't seem like the party has a strategy for that moment when it can't win an election without a significant non-white vote, and if it either refuses to change or gets caught off-guard... well, get ready for a long stretch of Democrat presidencies.

Ahh ok, if it was superficial then why does the left talk about it on a daily basis?

People being oppressed because of their skin color and their allies shouldn't talk about that the fact that they are being oppressed because of superficial differences in skin tone?

Mmmkay...

I bet you thought you had the ultimate gotchya question there, didn't you? How cute (on a pathetic Ben Shapiro kind of level).

while the CNN title of this article is "how segregated is your neighborhood", which i think is awfully clickbait-y, it does have an interactive map which offers an interesting look at demographic distributions.

my little town appears reasonably diverse, which is somewhat surprising to me because that's not my usual observation. i see mostly white people, and my immediate neighborhood most definitely is primarily white (if not exclusively). i don't exactly go out a lot though, so i can't really speak to the full diversity of my town.
there is a small town just to the south that according to the map is majority non-white, which i wouldn't have guessed.

washington DC is nearby (enough), and looks at its demographic is quite interesting. central DC appears majority white, while the periphery of the eastern half is majority black (N/NE/E/SE/S edges). going more northeast into takoma park appears majority black, and then there is a large hispanic population in silver spring.
but if you go on the west side, bethesda is majority white, while going more north into gaithersburg and germantown, the demographic distribution is much more diverse.

Once again, color blind people remain ignorant.

I wonder if "some groups" are setting up breeding farms somewhere in Idaho. Although they need no encouragement, I figure this just cements their anti choice decisions.

I am CB and believe me, it really is a pisser when they have those colored charts and I can't tell what the hell they're talking about. They do this on TV news a lot, online also, books, it just sucks!

Edit: Yeah, I just had a look at that chart and I don't know what the fuck is going on, who lives where, absolutely nothing.

Ah... pretty soon we'll have like, 13 guys in the geographic center of our country that will basically control government at this rate.

Pubs can just lean back and let the EC do the dirty work for them...

It was fun when I was working and at a manager's meeting had to listen our director go endlessly over spreadsheets with every invisible shade of green you could think of. I still remember grey scale and hash patterns. No more.

Tucker Carlson is the left

Re-branding is hard, like going from the stars & bars to old glory & from swastikas & racist runes to Trump flags. We still know who they are & what they stand for.

OP said:
Every Conservative/GQP'er/Trumper's nightmare

Tia Dalma : You know of Davy Jones? A man of the sea, a great sailor. Until he run afoul of that which vexes all men.
Will Turner : What vexes all men?
Tia Dalma : What indeed.
Gibbs : The sea?
Pintel : Sums?

Ok, I'll go read the OP now.

article speaks for itself. white population share in American going down

latinos and blacks usually vote Dem.
so if there's less whites now, why are the Repubs expected to gain House seats for the next 10yrs till the 2030 census?

Green is just nothing for me. I'm "total green blind." I lack the green cones in my eyes. I have never in my life for a second been able to say with any honesty "that is green." I look at grass and figure it's green because people say it's green and I take their word for it. 😳

Yep, chartreuse look like neon yellow to me. Green is not there.
