another depraved church leader

~Morris, 64, entered the plea before Judge Cindy Pickerill, admitting to five felony counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child. Under a negotiated plea agreement, he was given a 10-year sentence, but he will serve only six months in the county jail. He must also register as a sex offender and pay $250,000 in restitution.

Conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec, who helped spread election fraud rumors in Pennsylvania in 2024 has been voting in Pennsylvania for nearly a decade while living in Maryland.

Republicans are so worried about voter fraud because they’re the ones who’ve been doing it.

That belongs in the projection thread. Oh, that's right, there isn't one.

Yep, because every accusation is a confession.

I’d love to hear more context on this, and what would make him say that lol
the full quote is about him wanting bipartisanship and him saying "how about we stop X" multiple times and then he says "how about we stop attacking pedophiles".

and so i get having a word slip when you're repeating something multiple times, but those particular words....still a little bit weird.

Is there extra context in which he corrects himself?

A quick change of direction to the national guard.

snopes said:
The Houston Chronicle reported that a spokesperson for Cruz told the outlet, "It was a verbal slip. Senator Cruz was rattling off a series of crimes we should unite in opposing, started a sentence about opposing pedophilia, and added a stray word while talking it out."

Snopes contacted Cruz's Washington office to independently ask about the matter and will update this article if we receive further information.

I wonder if it's another gaslighting-of-sorts incident: Do something truly alarming intentionally, then walk it back, sort of. To get your opponents fired up over kind-of nothing, all part of wearing out those who would oppose you when it counts.
Even if that is the plan, he's got a long way to go before he hits the level of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and running a gestapo.

Well I'm safe cause I'm not really a pro-palestine guy, I'm really more of an anti-collective punishment of millions and random slaughter of innocents kind of guy.

Turns out I am not paid for this apparently lucrative position either.
