As long as you're doing stuff with metal and electricity, I'll give you a tip. Never EVER touch the board underneath your monitor. Dear god that holds alot of electricity. I was using my monitor with teh cover off and touched the board and it felt like it burnt the muscles in my arm

When I was like, 12, the solder on the spot where the cable cord connects to the TV broke on my big bad 13 inch TV. Well, I opened the case to try and fix it, and I saw the big red wire with the big suction cup thingy connected to the tube and thought it would be fun take it off with my bare hands.
I started playing with it, it knocked the hell out of me, I casually set the TV down, and laid down on the floor for about an hour before I felt I could get up.
The next day I did it again.
I seem to get electrocuted once every month or so. There was the shop-vac incident where it had sprayed water into the electrical portion of it, and I went to empty it with the top soaking wet. I touched it about 10 times before I realized what was going on.
Man I was a stupid kid.
