Do you believe everything people tell you?

Its my job to be able to read people. I have no doubts that he was telling me the truth.
I've known people who have gone here and there doing interesting things. None of them would tell you about it though. Perhaps your fellow runs a Halliburton lunch truck?
I have quite a few people that are in Iraq that tell me about it. One is my brother so I guess that doesn't count but I don't see why there should be doubt.
There is a whole world of things not generally known by the public at large. People who drive trucks, work as Mill might be able to are just like everyone else. There are others though who shall we say live interesting lives, and they don't talk about it. It's just not done.
There is no disgrace in being part of the service industry in Iraq, however it seems that this fellow is enjoying displaying his situation more than would be expected. If he is involved in any sensitive matter, then he is an idiot for talking about it at all. You keep your mouth shut and do your job. In fact you are paid to shut up.

Most things are not sensitive. I don't see where he said anything he shouldn't have. You are not paid to shut up.
I agree that people need to be careful what they say due to the general public being clueless and reactionary.
Yes there are things the general public is not supposed to know about. I have a few in my mind as I'm sure my brother does since he leads an "interesting life" but I don't see anything in this thread of that nature.
