I have indeed done this. Anything not typically related to audio transmission that has some persistent tone will usually have me trying to match it vocally. Not really sure why I do that.

What's with all this kiss-up and internet flirting. How do you guys even know if Rubycon is Hot and worth flirting with? Or is a GUY?

it's kinda like having a crush on Daphne in scooby doo. You know she's not real, but that never really mattered because your imagination helped fulfill the wonderful fantasy

Used to do that all the time while working on avionics in the Navy. Aircraft use 400HZ power which is a flat A (440) above middle C.

I was once in a car where the exhaust exited underneath between the front seats. You had to hum in order to prevent brain damage from how loud it was. The humming really reduced the amount of volume you heard... it was rather amusing.

you were your own noise cancelling headset, cool!

Sometimes when my wife is using something that makes a constant pitch (microwave, vacuum cleaner, shower) I'll hum or whistle at the exact same pitch. Oftentimes she can't tell I'm doing it for a while. Kinda fun.

Speaking of humming, ever hit an extension on your phone at work to get the dial tone on speaker and just leave it like that to see how long it takes for someone to say something? That's always fun.

Hot avatar + smart + lots of cool techie posts = She's real to ME dammit!

Although she might be a bot.

This is exactly what's so tempting about half truths.

The avatar reels you in, and the smart and techie posts are just part of the plot towards a truly deviant objective. Yet to be revealed.

OR, perhaps he's pm-ed numerous flies caught in his web, and made AFK arrangements, whereby they were murdered and never heard from again.

You know like a noisy electromagnetic ballast, vacuum cleaner, even the noise of tires over the screen part of a drawbridge.

Always tune up, down a little louder but not enough to drown it out. The harmonics you hear sound wonderful! :awe:

If you've never tried it, do it and see what you've been missing! 😀

Humming is fun. Especially when i go very low in a large room with good acoustics and people have difficulty to determine where that low frequency hum is coming from. It seems to make people nervous. 😕
