My Z's stock limiter was 155 mph, but that was removed when I installed my aftermarket ECU.

I've done 165+.

The limiter was most likely removed.

I once did 67kmh on my bike. Thinking what would have happened to me had I hit a small bump or pothole is kinda scary.

I've heard that my GTO has a limiter that kicks in around 150 or so. The fastest I've taken the car is about 130.

No governor on my car - dodge stealth twin turbo, and it's not mechanically governed(5th gear redline) until 210mph.

My TA's limiter was set to 162mph, that pesky thing kept getting in my way, so I've since removed it. (HPTuners)

I hit or removed the limiter on every vehic I had with the exception of my toyota tercel. I couldn't hit the rev limiter on that unless it was tossed from a plane.

You mean, a pedal bike? (vs. motorcycle)?? 67km/h is fast, but not *that* fast for a bicycle. I've maintained that speed behind moving vans/UPS trucks/anything big enough to draft behind on flat ground. Downhill, I've gone far faster than that.

My current bike sort of has a governor on it; I can't physically pedal faster than 45-50 mph; I need a new flywheel with a better gear ratio - plenty of hills in this area.

My old Nissan Stanza got to 135mph I don't think it could go any faster than that though....

My old Mark VIII had a 124 mph governor (I never hit it, nor even came close). While most cars have the governor for tires, the Mark's governor was because the driveshaft wasn't designed for any higher RPM. The sportier Mark VIII LSC actually had a lower speed limiter due to a shorter differential.

The 951 has no limiter, but if I redline in 5th I'm theoretically limited to 170 mph. Fastest I've been is about 140-145 on a track, there's just not enough straightaway to pick up more speed.

I hope you didn't pay much for it, because Superchips doesn't have the best reputation.

Many cars have speed limiters set higher than that.

Speed-wise its actually quite fun going that fast (with the draft and a stiff bike it feels really fast), but I've fallen off my bike a few times while going much slower and its hasn't been too much fun.

The last time was a few months ago - I was going down the street at a moderate speed (~30 I think - I didn't have my speedometer with me) when one of the parallel parked cars started pulling out and suddenly blocked my way. I hit the brakes and swerved out of the way, but my front tire got caught in the streetcar tracks and sent me flying. I was fine, just some bruises and scars, but I could not have been going faster than 20-25kmh when it happened. The thought of something like that happening while going 67 is pretty damn scary to me.

Umm, are you sure. You have a STI right? From my research it looks like they are also electronically limited...

It has to be more than 150 on the coupe. The sedan has 155mph (as told by the service technician when I took my sedan in for service). He was telling me on how one of his customers gave him a picture of the speedometer at ~155mph and he has that pic in his office.

yeah, i think its 157... thats the consenus on g35 forums

Stock ECU had fuel/spark cut, at what speed I don't remember, I think like 120mph. aftermarket doesn't. My old tranny would do 159 at 7250 rpm in 5th, current tranny will do 169 at 7250 in 5th. I haven't gone for it yet with the new trans because the car isn't tuned but hit 155 in the old one.
