It happens to me all the time. And as tech enthusiasts, I'm betting it happens to the rest of you rather commonly as well.
The latest useless piece of technology that I got a split-second urge to buy was the Eee Keyboard. It's a pretty cool concept, but completely useless in practicality - too expensive / underpowered to be a good office machine, and too short battery life / needs a monitor to be portable. I guess the urge stems from growing up around computers and technology, and imagining one day that the entire computer would be built into just the screen (think iMac or tablet) or just the keyboard (like this thing!)
Sadly, if this thing was $250-300 or so, I might just bite.
