Ever fear for your safety?

Lately, I have been searching for information on what is really going on in this country. With some help from people in this forum I was pointed in the right direction and have been watching videos on what is really going on and I have to say I am, for the first time in ever, genuinely scared for my safety.

Of the many videos I saw this one probably resonated the most with me in terms of what has happened to our beloved country:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvoZCtpYCRI

We are in stage 3 right now and we are about to see huge changes in this country very soon unless our military or the other world powers intervene. I am worried because I have been rather open with my speech online and the powers that be are monitoring all of this, especially on Facebook and popular forums like ours here. Don't believe me? Well, I hope you are right, but if you look past the lies being fed to us you can see all of the signs.

The people on the right now believe the socialism we've been living under for a decade or two now is actually capitalism. The people on the left are being controlled by the busting of their unions and the ridicule of their speech. The people like me, in the middle, are being reconditioned to accept the "obvious flaws" in capitalism and democracy. People are openly questioning our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Our leaders pass laws everyday that remove more and more of our freedom and economic liberty.

I fear that our country has lost the war, tyranny is here already and without a single bomb being dropped.

Yeah, well, uh, ok. Uhm, so, what are we to discuss?

To some extent, yes. But I'm more concerned about the overt (political, ideological, etc.) changes than them rounding us up and torturing us after (I mean sadists would like that, but "the forces that be" wouldn't benefit from it, unless they're sadists of course, then we're effed).

edit: I've seen videos with him before (parts of this one I think), but why doesn't it say who he is in the description?

edit2: Yuri Bezmenov

edit3: Never let them take your arms.

We're not going to have a choice. Unless our military and police turn on our leaders it is going to happen.

This is another great interview:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfG89BkvPOU&feature=related

I'm not claiming NWO, illuminati, or anything other than the fact that what Bezmenov, Traficant, and so many others are saying is coming true. The problem is how do you fight a $5 trillion army with pistols and semi-auto rifles? Our country did not amass this military to fight wars, they built it to overpower us.

Its like the game of thrones riddle haha.

A priest, A king, and A rich man all have the same hired sword. Each man orders his hired sword to kill the other 2 leaders. Which one comes out on top?

The point of the riddle is that power is an illusion and that perception is more important than reality. If people see you as powerful, then you are.

I really liked the riddle. He had answered "Won't the sell sword come out on top" but he got the reply "If strength determined power, why bother with Priests, Kings, and wealthy men?"

The actual clip does it 1000x more justice.

You don't, not alone. (Very) small arms can be used for defending against small agents (such as the police) and soft targets. "Terrorism", if you will. Worst case, you can at least shoot yourself if they come for you and you truly fear.

However, if there are enough of you (the people refuses to give up its arms), there won't be enough armies to go around. And soldiers are people too. Draw the line, for your collective protection.

A truly well regulated militia of the people would do that. The people should be the militia, keep and bear arms. Real arms. In the US the states should be the militaries, I guess. Invasion armies can be used to conquer other countries or even continents (Europe), but are double-edged swords.

Until they take your free speech away, there's a good chance the military of the people, oath keepers (not just the organization), will refuse such orders. And won't accept foreign armies on their soil. That's the spirit that must be fought to be upheld. The guns are only the very last line of defense, but can be useful as a threat and for civil disobedience.

I remember that from ASoIaF, but haven't finished the books. It depends on the circumstances, but if that's all there is, take the king's power, the rich man's wealth, and receive the priest's blessing. :)

TBH if I lived in the states right now, I'd really be researching possible countries to immigrate to. Probably Canada. Thankfully I'm already in Canada though. While our government is not really all that much better, at least we're not getting our rights stripped away at the fast rate as the US. Give the US less than 100 years till it switches to a dictatorship.

Censoring internet, detaining people who say bad things on twitter about the government, building data centers to track people's internet activity, building droids to track people's physical activities such as where they go... sounds like some things China would do, but it's all happening in the US.

As for my personal safety, can't think of any specific incidents, but I always feel uneasy walking alone in big cities like Toronto. Thankfully the furthest is usually from the train terminal to the bus terminal which is like a block not even. Just so many people in one spot, it's crazy.

I am always aware of my surroundings when I visit areas with known high crime rates. Fortunately I don't live in such places. :\

Just don't make yourself an easy target for people to take opportunity/advantage of you.

in my country nothing like that can happen.
Militia army that takes their weapons at home after conscription, federalism with strong autonomy and direct democracy are hard to beat.

Do they have ammunition? In my country the home guard is not allowed to have ammo at home.

You guys lean on the USA (Exporters to us). This is really the problem, anywhere I would want to go either leans on the USA, or leans on Europe. Or China to an extent still relies on USA importing, so even Asian countries that rely on China would be screwed. I gave up trying to find somewhere.

Maybe Estonia? :)

The infamous swiss. Yes they have ammo, about 50-100 rounds AFAIK. You have to admit with a gun in literally every home the temptation to break in is very muted for the swiss :p

Yeah that's an issue too. Lot of decisions the US do often come on the table here so we're not 100% safe here either.

Wow OP, you want to allow a police state?

We need the people to man up and drop the snitches get stitches mentality.

Witness crimes, report them especially those involving bodily harm and property loss.

It appears as though the Swiss people has been disarmed:

Soldiers can keep guns at home but not ammo
Parliament has approved a proposal to ban the long-standing Swiss tradition of keeping army ammunition at home.

As an outsider, America has two problems.

1. Corruption: too easy to lobby congress because there are no restrictions on campaign contributions. This has greatly eroded the grassroots political base.

2. Plutocracy: it's impossible to run for office without being wealthy or at least having strong connections with wealthy backers. Especially if you want to be president.

Which is what separates Canada in that few of it's leaders are exceptionally wealthy. Plus new strict campaign finance limits pretty much wiped out any party that couldn't maintain a strong grass roots base; namely the Liberals and Bloc. Far from a perfect system due to a continuing lack of accountability in majority situations. But at least it's a step up from the American system. I'm a fan of republicanism but it's been warped by too much corruption.

The US also has a third problem, cleanly illustrated by the Chick-Fil-A fiasco, and the Aurora shooting. People play games and dance around serious issues because nobody wants to have a civilized discussion of complicated topics.

(Welcome to P&N)

Yes, we're screwed. I firmly believe that North Koreans will enjoy more liberty than Americans by the end of the century.

At this time Americans feel that private property is an excess to be seized, that others should be imposed upon by the majority. That our Union is a conscription into the commune.

What are you going to do? Vote third party, fight for state's rights. It is too late, that'll never happen? Likely... if so, sit back and enjoy the ride. If the Politburo comes knocking, you answer yes. Long live the king.

Map out a nice, quiet destination in the Southern hemisphere. (Less radioactive fallout). Good luck reaching it when the time comes.

Fear? Generally no. I am aware of my immediate environment and keep an eye open, but fear doesn't come into play. If I'm genuinely threatened then sure. It's useful then if one controls it.
