Yes America's image to the world is not as good as when Clinton was president, because he would kiss all nations ass to make them happy. You guys all hate Dubya cause he wouldn't apologize to China and that frightens you.

Most of that can be blamed on our &quot;mainstream&quot; media and how they portrayed him nightly from the moment he declared his candidacy.
 
nah thats not what i think, i dont care if he apologizes to china or not for the bilateral realtions sake its good that the chinese thaught he did
but i can understand china, if they would have spy planes flying around at the east coast i bet the US would do whatver necessary to get them off the sky
 
We Americans are like shut ins. We don't get out much and don't know much about the rest of the world. That makes us not only ignorant, but ignorant of how ignorant we are. We have no idea how that ignorance of our ignorance translates into arrogance. We have no idea for example, with our great pride in our individualism, how much like peas in a pod we are, how insular and naive our thinking is. We have never known disaster and tragedy though, as a nation. That makes us rather trusting, open, and care free as a people. We can be quite noce as people once you get past the surface crap. Down deep we are all the same.

It was a routine procedure to keep an eye them, they know it and we know it, and it really wasn't that big of a deal until their jet crashed into our plane.
 
all americans that i know are nice as i said before - i just like to argue with them
especially since most ofem ar quite patriotic - makes for a good argument

Ever heard of the Civil War, Stock Market Crash of 1929, The Great Depression, Bombing of Pearl Harbor, the birth of GoldenBear, etc???

besides I havent heard that america ever gave back a captured plane so what made bush's administration think the chinese should

the stock market crash and the depression are kinda the same (one led to the other) and they were worldwide
 
The Chinese intercepted the plane in international airspace and caused it to have to make an emergency landing. The plane is also U.S. soverign territory and as such we have a right to keep them out of it and to get it back. They are lucky I wasn't President at the time, as soon as I knew the crew was out of it I would have ordered a tomahawk missle to take it out.

When was the last time the U.S. captured a plane?

Ok dont really have much of an opinion about this plane incident. All I say is i can understand both sides and happily the situation was solved
According to Newsweek, usually it is the responsibility of the crew to destroy all data as well as the plane in such a situation

yes the last time americans captured a plane is quite some time ago and as far as i know the plane was captured through a deserting russian pilot
 
most Americans are borish idiots(im american and i hate most americans) who don't give a crap about what happens in the rest of the world and think that when i refer to football i mean american football....arg!

Both sets of my Grandparents lived through everything since the late 1800's early 1900's. Before they all died, I have 1 Grandmother remaining, I heard stores from them about what they lived through.

I will admit that most of today's generation are soft and don't know what true hardship is. Bunch of spoiled brats really.

I grew up in the UK during the 1980's, and since 1991 I've lived in America. I really have no clue 😕

I think most Europeans have a favorable impression of the U.S.; I know myself and all my friends did when I was growing up there. When I told my school buddies in Rotherham that I was moving to New York, I can remember their jaws dropping 😉
 
Well I remember back in the early 80's we captured an SU-27 Flanker that had crashed landed in our waters and we kept the plane and dismantled it fully, despite the Soviets protests. The one difference is we sent back the pilot within 4 days as aposed to 4 weeks like the chinese. The Soviets got they plane back about a year later after we had studied every square inch of it and sent it back on boxes.

besides england never had control over the usa because when england had control in a little part of your country it wasent called the U>S>A
 
The USA is a bit like Microsoft, its really hip to hate them and scream about their oppressive tactics.

But the truth be told, you might not like a world without them.
