I started thinking about this when somebody I know mentioned how mixed raced 1 generation offspring tend to excel very well in a lot of areas. Tiger Woods (golf and sports), Phoebe Cates, Kristen Kreuk, China Chow (beauty)... Even when I was in school, many of the "mixed" children did really well at something. Whether it was sports, beauty, academics... you name it.
Hopefully, this isn't too controversial. If it is, then I apologize, but I am hoping for a cool conversation.
Biologically, every different race has evolved in some way stronger than another race.
Africans, for the most part, have evolved much better physically than any other race. Chances are, Africans would be the ones who would be strong enough as a large group to colonize another planet without as much technological help. Asians have evolved more in mathematical/visual mental abilities, but lack almost any physical prowess whatsoever and sometimes verbal mental prowess as well (I mean other races were barred from learning some martial arts before because some asians were afraid of the implications  ). Some things can be attributed to culture, but as culture influenced who procreated because better cultural ideal qualities allowed for more success in the culture, the people who had certain characteristics tended to spread there characteristics more. For instance, the Chinese language requires a lot of memorization and visual and tonal recognition, anyone proficient in it would do better in society. Thus the people with better mental capacity for visual/mathmatics/memory/music were greatly more successful in Chinese society. Even some races tend to be naturally built for certain harsh environments. Not racist to say so, but they are gross generalities that have to be taken with a grain of salt. It is just pointing out the good qualities in certain races.
So when you mix races, if the dominant genetics mix right, the first generation of offspring will grab most of the dominant qualities in each race (the ones that have been bred into the races by natural selection, or have been idealized by the culture, and have become dominant). Subsequent offspring will dilute the qualities, unless you do eugenics (which in and of itself has some moral implications). It could be done in a good way though to further benefit mankind. But that is only if mankind as a whole accepts that vision. Otherwise it has too many moral dilemmas.
Also, society must recognize the great, amazing qualities in all races and not just single out a few races.
