Say your boss tells you to install AVG Free edition in a business enviroment and to use Adaware Personal edition in a business enviroment. Both would violate the license agreements. Would you install the software (arguing with the boss is pointless, he knows the license agreement)

Hmm, let's see:

Install it vs Get Fired

I suppose if you get fired, you could rat him out.

Meh, just do it because nobody's gonna know and it's not worth crying over. Then when you get the chance, use company funds to purchase full versions and such.

This gets my vote. Refuse, if you get fired, then sue and you own't need to work anymore. :)

Come on, we all know about the free donuts?

We can get a lot of things free, but it's not my bosses' doing...it's all up to the business.

The Dunkin Donuts that's a block from my house gives cops free donuts -- a lot of them too. Not sure about the coffee, but the WaWa down the street from it does give them free coffee.

It depends if when and if it is caught, how it could be handled. As in, if boss has enough power and basically gets rid of you even if you say what happened, but since he has more power people believe him. If I feel that won't be an issue, depends on the situation :p

They definitely give free coffee. That's actually how the donut stereotype began--Officers would go to Dunkin' Donuts because they gave free coffee to cops throughout the country. Nowadays most convenience stores will give us free coffee or pop.

Depends on the job and boss. I can see myself just going along with it and not caring, and I can also see myself saying, "it's illegal; no."

I smell a conspiracy here. This must be coming from the top. Don't be so coy.

It's his business, 99% of tips to the BSA are by disgruntled employees. If you were ever to get disgruntled you could get him a BSA audit and some nasty fines.
