ESPN topic...what sporting event is the best...NCAA, NBA, MLB?

some fool on espn wrote that MLB world series is the best....

no way...baseball is hella boring...that fool is smoking crack....

in this order:

NBA Finals
NCAA Tourney
World Cup
Superbowl
MLB
Hockey (no one watches anyway)

yeah... baseball is pretty boring. top two would be nba finals and super bowl. hard to pick between the two tho.

yeah i read this yesterday as well, and i think they were mentioning the whole playoff series and not just the final series.

if you go by entire playoffs, i'd put the NFL playoffs and NCAA tourney at the top of the list. the whole one-and-done finality of each game adds alot to the excitement for me.

It's a toss-up for me between the NCAAs and the World Cup. Both of which I have skipped work, stayed up all night, taped, etc. just to see the games, even if random teams are playing.

The Super Bowl is the best for a single game, but it's more about the media blitz than the actual game.

And as much as I love baseball, the World Series just ain't what it used to be. 🙁

In person?

I was at Game 7 of the D'Backs v Yankees world series. That is the best sporting event that i have ever been to.

second would be hockey. definately the most fun to watch in real life.

i agree that the one game thing makes it more exciting....
but the level of athleticism in the NBA is unmatched

Hockey is the Best, they just don't show it because unless you are a real fan, you can't follow the puck on TV

hocky sucks on tv....doesnt work

Like hell. I watch it all the time. What "doesn't work" about it?

I love hockey as much as anyone...but mpitts, you have to admit it is 100 times better in person.

I agree that it is better in person. That doesn't mean it isn't exciting or fun to watch on TV.

People who can't follow the puck on TV need to stop watching on a 20" set. 😀

I agree with you, it certainly doesn't mean it isn't exciting or fun to watch on TV.

hell, i watch on a 25 inch and it works fine for me! 😀

This is kinda pointless since it's so subjective. I personally really look forward to The Masters and the Tour de France every year.....two events that many would say are about as dynamic as watching paint dry. 😉

soccer players are great athletes too but not as strong
