Hey, I'm a dork.....I admit it. I've always liked the more offbeat sports (at least by American tastes). You should see how fired up when I actually find speedskating on TV (I was a competitive skater from age 5 to about 14 or so). 😛

Tour de France - Armstrong kicks ass, and he does it on French soil. Can't get much better than that.

MLB World Series - And that's only when the Yankees are in it
NBA Finals - My Nugs are so far off from going that I give up on the season about 10 games in 🙁

I was actually ranked third or fourth in the state most of the time I was competing. 😀

You can kinda see why I took to cycling later in life.....both sports use the same muscles for the most part.

NHL
NBA
NFL
MLB

I like basketball.. no problem with it really. It's boring as hell in the last few minutes though..
As for football, I just can't sit and watch a sport that stops every 2-3 seconds..
Baseball.. I don't think I even have to explain that one..

The one thing I love about hockey is that is not a turn based sport.. like basketball, football, or baseball where you take turns trying to score points.. sure turnovers can happen but I don't think they happen enough to be exciting

but it's all subjective.. you like it or you don't.. just because it's more "popular" doesn't make it better than the other sports... for example... soccer?

OMG - have you ever SEEN a fight at a basketball game? They make Paula Jones v. Tonia Harding look like Ali and Frazier. They are huge pansies that punch like girls (ok, girls who can't punch - no offense ladies).

That column was a bunch of crap anyway. It was like "Hmm, I love baseball, so I'll write a column where I make it seem like baseball is the best postseason." Baseball's postseason is long and boring. You can lose 2 or even 3 games and still be in it. NFL and NCAA - you lose and it's all over 'cept the crying. Football games are just about as long as baseball games, but you never hear people complain about them being too long the way you do with baseball, because baseball is numb-your-a$$ boring. end rant.
