Jumping on top of cars and smashing out windows is peaceful? Bud you guys have a sick and warped sense of reality.

I SINCERELY hope it happens to you, and would love to see the look on your face

La de da da - just a normal day in the world, glass shattering all around me in my car. Definitely not scared.

You know wishing stuff like that on other members is bad right? And what the fuck are you even talking about? He ran a blockade to get to them. They were not keeping him from any place. He was not allowed to go there.

true, i have zero sympathy for people who block highways

still, i wouldn't be stupid enough to barrel at them with a truck.

just gotta stop way back and wait until the crowd disperses. or if the driver was smart he would have taken a huge detour around the city.

Depends - in a few of the videos I was seeing the protesters were walking around jumping and smashing the windows out on the cars.

If that were occurring to you while you were inside driving, what would you do exactly?

i saw that for the fedex truck but i don't think that highway was closed.

if someone started smashing my windows, i would probably floor it.

just have to make sure that if you floor it, you are %100 able to escape. otherwise that will make things worse.

But that is not what you really want, what you really want is to be able to ignore it like you have every other time.
That is why they are breaking the law, because until you feel uncomfortable enough you will simply ignore them.

this is why my grandpa moved to the middle of nowhere. he was sick of the unrest in the 60s and got out of the city.

i intend to do so as well once i retire.

i don't think there's anything that can be done to make things better which will take less than another 100-200 years.

It takes will, without that 100-200 years won't mean anything.

While that would suck & Id complain about it, that is why I have insurance.
Back to the question, other poster size have stated the highway was closed and the trucker had to run a barrier to get to where he was.

You guys do realize that blocking interstate highways... IS. NOT. LEGAL.

It doesn't matter if you're protesting. Hell - even if it's a legal protest where you received permits, etc... NO permit in the world will allow you to block an interstate highway. PERIOD.

Wait until you're the one in an ambulance that is trying to get to the hospital with COVID-19 but you're stuck because "protesters" blocked cars.

This is just like looting smart one - Protesting is absolutely fine. THIS ISNT PROTESTING.
Neither is murdering a person in custody and that is and should be the main focus. Besides that tanker truck was not carrying a heart attack victim. I'm confident if an ambulance approached the crowd would have parted. Remember this is the same crowd that held the driver not kick his ass.

Depends on what they protesting for. If the are protesting so they can get a hair cut while carrying a surrogate penis its totally cool to shut down a highway. Those are patriots protesting for their rights to be served by the poors. If its the poors protesting to not be killed by authorities that is illegal as fuck and the tanker truck driver was just enforcing his right to use the road.

Ah sort of like the Bundy Ranch

That and (oblivious to the majority of stupid members here) they ACTUALLY think that this type of unrest HELPS their cause lol.

What do you think happens when you block thousands of people from getting to work, the hospital, buying goods, etc? You think it will win sympathy?

Newflash to the fucking morons here:

So my wife used to work at Georgetown Optician down in DC. It's on Wisconsin a couple blocks from M street.

Yesterday her little brother texted us that he saw this on Twitter. This was around like 2pm.

So my wife texted the owner of the store and a bunch of employees she still keeps in touch with about it and forwarded it to them.

She just found out last night that the store was looted. The owner and his family lives in an apartment above the store too. The owner is probably in his mid 60's and has cancer. They were confronted by the looters probably trying to protect the store and basically had to "escape" out the back of the store down the alley for their safety.

They are okay but that is all the details I have. I'm not sure if like a bunch of stores in Georgetown around there were looted or not or if this was in fact a targeted loot.

Clearly based on that text, this had absolutely nothing to do with the protest and just a bunch of people taking advantage of the situation. It's mind boggling to me that some people still can't grasp that the people looting and causing all this chaos are NOT the protestors.

this looting is making almost everyone i know care a whole lot less about the original cause

You have YET to HONESTLY portray the tanker truck incident. Why is that?

Because he’s a loudmouth brainless idiot who never thinks before he posts and honestly never thinks period. He hurls insults without realizing he’s one of the dumbest people on this forum and indeed on the face of this planet.

your so full it!! I saw the video nobody in that video was breaking windows of cars around that barricade! Just because somewhere else in the city windows were being broken thjat has nothing whatsoever to do with where this took place!
Nice try! You are a part of the problem! SDo quick to support dirty cops because they are white and cops!

in regards to all the looting, Donny says they are just practising freedom

That was part of the silly propaganda campaign to blame the destruction of Iraq’s infrastructure on looting as opposed to Bush’s bombing campaign. “Yes, we bombed the holy hell out of them but we didn’t break anything.”
