It's the same SKU # and the Staples online rebate center accepts the UPC code.

$40 is a coupon and it clearly states that it can be used instore. (scroll up to the link that "Webinmaster" so generously provided and follow the path to coupons/staples/printable. It's still there!!)

The $70 rebate is at www.staplesrebates.com.

<< where's the $40 off $200 rebate?? i can't find it? can someone put up a link? and can i also get this rebate at a B&M? >>

I doubt it. The top label on my 910 box says EN-910/EN-910E and then lists the SKU# and UPC code. I'm sure both models use the same UPC and SKU #.

In any event, the UPC code I entered passed Staples online rebate center and was assigned a claim number.

I think my friend got this monitor a while back. I saw it today and it's looking very good. The colors and clarity (dot pitch) seem to be really good on it. His is the En 910 is that what this one is?

Just recieved mine and I am a little dissapointed in the sharpness of this monitor. I will probably take it back and try to get the Samsung mentioned in this board.

Yah its the En-910e, which is the same monitor, they just changed up the front panel and maybe some cosmetic changes to the face. Got mine in yesterday, pretty small profile for a 19'' monitor, and definitely a smaller footprint than my G400. Yah, it doesn't look nearly as good as my Sony, but then again, it cost $450 less :) Anyways, gonna set it up in a dual head config, so this won't be the monitor I'll be staring at for hours and hours. Still a great buy for ~$130 shipped!!!

One question though which is kind of annoying me:

Do you have to mess with the menu everytime you change resolutions with this monitor??? Its really bugging me as I've only ever owned Sony's in the past and I never had to do this. What's even stranger is that if I adjust the desktop, if I enter a game (RTCW) I have to adjust it again. If I change the in-game resolution I have to change it yet again. The good thing is that it does memorize the settings between the game and the desktop, even after reboots. If that weren't the case, I'd have to send this puppy back. All my Sony's auto-adjusted no matter what. Also, my "recall default" option in the menu doesn't seem to work. Please lemme know if there is some setting that corrects this...I've never had to deal with this b/c like I said, my Sony's always auto-adjusted.

TIA,

Chiz

PS WarriorFan, its the same SKU, looks like just a slight upgrade like I said to the menu panel.

In the little fiddling around with my new EN-910, I did find I have to adjust the screen each time I changed the resolution. I'm sure you noticed the documentation is rather thin!

I sent a message to Envision (no response yet) asking them if they could provide the optimal Mhz for each resolution. Only thing I know for sure is that 1600 x 1200 is 75Mhz, but generally a monitor shows the other resolutions Mhz settings as well. Notihing on their website helped.

Lykele, thanks for the info...I thought I was missing something or had a busted up monitor.

Anyways, I use nVMax, so when i go to choose a desktop resolution, there is a check mark that says "hide unsupported refresh rates". If I check that off, there is a drop-down menu that shows which Hz rates are supported.

Yah for 1600x1200 its 75Hz, which is pretty good. I think it looks awful at that res, but I wouldn't use it that high anyways.

The 1280 resolutions support 85Hz I believe, and 1024 can get 100Hz. Those are just the settings I messed with, but I plan on running my desktop at 1280x1024 @85Hz and the rest will vary in games.

I built 2 computers with the Envision monitor and I was really impressed with them, high refresh rates and good color quality.
This is a steal.

Had intended that this would be a secondary monitor, did not expect much. I am happy overall. Mine is actually 910e model. Just wanted to use 40 off 200 from Staples:D Wish Staples carried quality video cards, searching for one for new system.

I did come across some drivers for the EN-910. Not sure if they are needed or any better than what your current video card uses, but thought I'd pass it along.

yah that was the first thing I did to see if the monitor re-sizing thing was b/c of the drivers. I just didn't want to see "Plug&Play Monitor" when I'm used to having Windows recognize my Sony's every time. Here's the official site for the Envision monitors:

Envision site

I guess its not that big a deal, I'll just run my games on my Sony and use the Envision as my desktop/dual-head.
