Just purchased Envision 19" monitor (sku 450431) at staples for 131.38.

229.98 Monitor Price
- 40.00 $40 off 200, Link at tech and bargains.com
- 70.00 Mail In rebate, valid 12/6-12/15
11.40 Tax Cincinnati, OH 6.0%
------------
131.38 Total

Stock was available online at Staples.Com (free delivery I believe), and at store. They do not have rebate forms at store but they are at website for printing or online fill out. Monitor is .25 dot pitch with very basic controls, not bad for basic 19" though.

Couple other notes, I got Ipaq 3635 for 349.99 at Sears with price match to Radio Shack (they did not check inventory and RS tells me that corporate home office is pulling Ipaq 3635 off shelves and having them brought to Texas, dunno why.

Got two Fuji 50 packs for free after rebate by pricematch with Best buy ad, refer to other thread, this works well (100 free cd's!!!).

Staples was cool enough to issue me a raincheck on Compaq A3000, not sure if they will receive anymore but if they do I will be one of first on list. Also good for substitutes if they come in. Always ask for all angles. :D

Does anyone have a review of this monitor? I couldn't find any except at Amazon.com where there were only two and they were very short. The tech specs seem good.

repost. if you'd just searched this board you will find this is not the first time around for this staples deal. lots of comments about the monitor there.

my conclusion was that the samsung at dell was probably a beter deal (though $50 more)

This is not a repost for the current deal for this monitor - if you would take the time to read the rebate instead of searching for reposters you would see that the current rebate is for purchases made between 12/9/01 and 12/15/01.

Sure the deal has been around before, but there is nothing wrong with letting us folks know that it has become available again.
How else are we supposed to find out ?

This is a very decent monitor for the price.

PS There are other ways of becoming a Senior without using the word "repost" in a reply

Thanks Chrisjor for an excellent repost :)

I ordered one for my girlfriend. She has been jealous of mine ever since last year when I got the Mercatta Compaq 19" MV920 with JBL Pro speakers for $150 delivered.

I think Markm was pointing out that there was info about the monitor in that other thread, not criticizing chrisjor for posting the deal this time around.

Of course, I could be wrong..:Q

BTW, I have one of these monitors and use it all the time. I think it's a nice monitor for the price.

I got this monitor in this week for the same price. I ordered it on the last deal, which was $209 - 40 coupon - $50 rebate.

I'm very happy with it for the price. I recently got the BB ti200 and my old monitor didn't cut it. I'm running it a 1024x768, because higher than that, the text was a little blurry for me. Technically though, it will do 1280x1024@85Hz and 1600x1200@75Hz. I haven't seen the ti200 on another monitor, so I'm not 100% whether it's the monitor or card.

Honestly, it's a better monitor than I thought it would be. And I can put the money I saved (over the Samsung for example) towards a next-gen LCD next year.

(The last monitor I bought was a nearly $500 17" Viewsonic, for that I could have 3 of these and change. I could run the Viewsonic at 1280x1024 with large fonts on my Matrox card and it was sharp, but it's not worth the extra $370!)

<< I ordered one for my girlfriend. She has been jealous of mine ever since last year when I got the Mercatta Compaq 19" MV920 with JBL Pro speakers for $150 delivered.[/qWasn't that a sweet deal? I love my MV920 - but I got mine for $90. There was also a $50 rebate at the time -- did you miss out on that?

I ordered one on Saturday too, but it took a lot of work to find the $40 coupon. This looks to be at least as good a deal as the MAG 19" at BestBuy and I didn't have to drive an hour to pick it up.

Bought one at B&M yesterday with the $40 off printed coupon. Total was $202.33 minus $70 rebate= $132.23. I am used to flatscreens so this is like going back in time :) For the price it is hard to beat. Has plenty of brightness, color is good, focus is good throughout the whole screen. Looked terrible when I first turned it on, default setting is 9300k color temperature, set it to 6500k color temperature and it looks great. 19" makes it alot easier watching DVD's. Thanks for the post. I am very happy with my $130 purchase.

Ordered one of these for a friend last time around (with a large, but valid, $40 off $200 coupon), and fell victim to the old but famous Staples "dissappearing order" trick. Called, and was told they didn't know anything about the order.

Gave them a number, and "oh, I see that the order was cancelled".

Why, I ask?

Um, that item was.... out of stock.

Well, is it back in stock now?

No.

Ok, what is the ETA on the item?

I don't know.

Can you leave the order alive in the system and just ship it when it IS in stock, so my rebate will be within the rebate period and my coupon will not be expired?

Uh, no, we can't do that. "But please feel free to replace the order on Staples.com when it becomes available (read: at full price)".

Can you order it through Ingram Micro?

How do you know about that?

Staples has done that for me before (I left out, but later cancelled the order anyway).

Ok, let me check.

No. We can't do that for this item.

This happens way too often with Staples, and almost exclusively when I use a coupon. Sometimes (often) the item in question is still on the website when I'm having that converstation (and with minor variations, it is always the same). Most online vendors at least have the decency to send a cancellation e-mail.

Can someone pls post a scan of the rebate...local store didn't have them and the website (here specifically states their rebates aren't avail online.

Also, if someone could vaguely hint at a place I can find the instore coupon it would be appreciated.

Here's a link to the rebate. .

I don't see anything in the fine print that says this is B&M purchases only.

Thanks for the link to the instore coupon. (these have become very tough to find)

This deal is actually $99 net. (Store price is $209 -$40 coupon - $70 rebate = $99!!!)

Pretty decent image quality too!!

Yah I ordered it for $128.53 after MIR and -40 including taxes and shipping. Not bad considering I've been working late and wouldn't have time to pick it up myself, not to mention there is no way in hell it will fit in my Mitsu Eclipse Spyder even with the top down. Scheduled for delivery today, hoping its at my door when I get home (around midnight :( )
