Oh well, at least it wasn't George Lucas bad with the T Pol line.
"I don't like sand its hard and hurts unlike you you are soft and nice or something to that effect." Poor Lucas

I liked this episode. It went back to the roots of the gritty first contacts. I guess they weren't kidding on the sexuality being ramped up. And that sniper scene with the rescue was pretty cool.

Just saw the sniper scene. These guys could kick the 24th century guys' asses any day of the week.
I also like the fact that they're putting more of the budget into the aliens. They're more than just people in goofy clothes with prosthetic foreheads. I liked the insect, particularly, and I also like the fact that they're talking in their own languages in some cases (a la Star Wars). Archer is reminding me more and more of Captain Sheridan from Babylon 5, which is a good thing. (But he's not quite there yet.)

I hope they don't carry on this plot line forever. Star Trek isn't about war and vengeance, it's about exploration. A few episodes will be fine, but I don't want to spend all of season three with the now military staffed Enterprise interrogating people and searching for weapons.

i hope they dont take enterprise in the same direction as andromeda...that show's more like a cheap sci-fi soap opera.
