Over on slashdot: http://slashdot.org/articles/04/01/20/1256233.shtml?tid=129&tid=188

I would love to see the last episode be of the time ship Relativity (appeared in Voyager) involved in cleaning up the past so that this version of events never existed from TNG's and Kirk's perspective and the continuous Star Trek timeline can be happy once again... Who knows, maybe this Enterprise came out of interference by the borg or something -- I'm sure they can invent a half decent plot.

Heck the Relativity could be a great future Star Trek series, talk about a way to involve tons of old cast members from TNG, DS9, and Voyager, but also explore a lot of the dangling threads from various episodes.

That's too bad. This will be the end of what? A 30 year running television franchise?

Pardon me...

Noooooooooooooooooooooo!

That being said, I'll believe it when I see it happen. What will UPN put in it's place? More re-runs of Martin?

This is what happens when you take an intelligent sci-fi show (TNG) and water it down to make it more 'mainstream', so it's 1/3 boobs and ass in tight uniforms, 1/3 cowboy/action, and 1/3 sci-fi, give it an idiotic premise like re-writing history by filling non-existing voids in the past that nobody really cares about, and top it off with a bland, lifeless, boring crew that never fail to pass under the radar.

Yea, but they would have to bring back Patrick Stewart plus a lot of the cast that played the main crew. I'm not sure if it would work.

I actually liked Nemesis after seeing it three or four times -- I wonder what will happen to Data. I think everyone knows that in the next 20 years a new series will start up and movies after its cancellation. Where there are fans willing to shell out cash there will be those willing to take it :)

One word, an acronym, 4 numbers and a letter.
Enterprise NCC-1701-F

Same mission as E, and DO NOT LET BRAGGA WRITE!

I think it would be stupid of UPN, wasnt it still one of their top shows even though its not getting numbers like previous series. They should just bring back DS9 anyways and do a post dominion war thing as it would be better than voyager or enterprise.

I have actually been enjoying Enterprise :(

My favourite is DS9, followed closely by TNG.

But I kind of suspected they may cancel it.....shame....it was quite a change from the other star trek series.

Andromeda? I liked the 1st series then after than it just sucked....and sucked bad....storylines made no sense, didn't run properly, were just jammed together in a big mess and the cast kept talking complete gibberish.

NCC-1701-F? - The Enterprise E is still around......are you gonna just have it blow up after being around for like 3 or 4 years :)

Shhhh. The Sovvie is too much of a battleship class to use for a series. It'd turn out like Voyager, running around blowing up random things with magical beams and bigass torpedos.

I dunno why but I loved TNG the most. I just didn't connect with the characters in DS9 or Voyager at all.

How about a series based on a shuttlecraft?
:D

Although.....perhaps something on a planet based space station, runabout, non-federation ship such as Klingon, Romulan or the reclusive Niberite Alliance (I am guessing they are an organisation between the likes of stafleet and the orion syndicate made up of mercenaries). The possibilities are endless and hardcore trekkies would watch but I don't think there is enough interest anymore.

Not even the funked up music of the 3rd series can save it now :(

I personally am a Star Trek fanatic (Have Franklin Mint Voyager ship, and Enterprise pocket watch), but thought this series royally sucked. Personally my favorites are TNG, and Voyager.

The reason Voyager got away with that was because of horrible writing. The ship itself is supposed to have less brawn to it than a typical Galaxy class (Enterprise D from TNG), but it somehow got away with flying right through Borg space, even taking down several cubes throughout the span of the series.

Shows you how retarted scripts got considering in that one episode of TNG ("The Best of Both Worlds" ?) there was the battle of Wolf 359 where an entire fleet of federation starships got wasted by a single cube, but in Voyager, a single Intrepid class ship lasted through impossible odds, somehow constantly rebuilding and resupplying itself between episodes.

Edit: I'll never forgive Voyager for the ending. After two hours of drawn out Voyager/Janeway vs. Borg crap, another confrontation of Voyager outlasting impossible, amazing odds, and Janeway bringing fancy shmancy hull armor into the past and completely polluting the timeline, the entire series ends with..

Admiral : It's good to see you made it home Voyager. I'm sure you have lots to tell us about.
Janeway: It'll all be in my log.

*credits begin to roll*

I already know what they are going to do in the final episode. They are going to finally reveal who Chef really is. I've got a clue for you who it is, his balls are big salty and brown...

I picked up on the third season since I heard it was better. It was at the beginning, but they dragged out the Xindi storyline a little too much.

Now, I missed the entire borg story which was entirely stupid since Q introduced he Enterprise D to the Borg. I'm not even going to go through the trouble of trying to watch those episodes.
