energy drink prices are ridiculous

I don't like the taste of taurine- which is in most energy drinks.

It doesn't help that taurine is the main ingredient in BILE (not kidding).

Mmmmm... God, I could really use one right now. lol..

Coffee will suffice...

coffee FTW
eh..

Besides the sugar free ones, which are nasty.. It's a necessary evil. 😀 😉

I had no idea people drank energy drinks on a regular basis. I always figured they were more for emergencies like when you had to stay up all night to get something done.

It's grown into a billion dollar industry...

i can't stand all the sugar in those energy drinks. Lately, I've been drinking the Starbucks Doubleshot Energy + Coffee. Surprising not bad at all..smooth and no bad aftertaste

Sometimes I drink the stupid things for taste, other times it's for the fact that I need a kick.

I DO have a few bottles of NoDoz caffeine pills here for when it's that vital I stay awake though. Two or three usually give me a few hours of hyper before my stomach catches fire and I die.

I was addicted to the Monster Java energy drinks.

Very good. Much like the Starbucks Frappuccinos in the glass bottles, only with more kick.

I especially liked Nut Up and Chai Hai.

LOL!

Yeah. I did the caffeine pill thing for a while, but I find them too harsh.. Huge spike in energy, followed by a major crash. And churning guts.

Well, if that's the case, I can see why the girls were having such a blast in 'two gurlz one cup'. (sorry, I'm at work and IDK what is flagged! 😛) Seriously, you call it an ingredient? Do you make and bake poo or something?

I like the Amp series of drinks in the afternoons and evenings while the Starbucks line being my favorite and consumed mostly in the mornings.

Hello caffeine! /falls asleep

Same with me. It sucks, because sometimes I'd love the boost. I could drink a mug of joe and go right to bed.

I tend to drink Vitamin Water "Energy" as it has 50mg caffeine and 25mg guarana.

Compared to most energy drinks it's not much but I prefer not to feel wired and hate the taste of most energy drinks.

If I need more caffeine than that, I'll just get a coffee.

Energy drinks never really did anything for me. Maybe all the jolt and zap i took in college for all those late night compiling sessions probably rendered me immune to the effects now heh.

You complain about the taste of drinks like Amp, Rockstar, and Full Throttle yet you drink Vitamin Water? Christ, I'd rather drink my own piss! I'm pretty sure they just squeegee liquid from peoples' sweaty asses, dye it, bottle it, and call it Vitamin water.

Of course, that is just my humble opinion. 😉

I like the taste of energy drinks, but I feel like I got ripped off if I spend like $2 and it's not even a pint!
I like coffee better and it's a hell of a lot less expensive. (I can get a pound of medium roast sumatra beans for $5-$8 bucks at World Market and it will last for like a week or more)

That said ... I will spend $10 on a good bottle of beer from time to time, so why not every now and again buy a $2 energy drink....

I was into drinking sugar free Rip-It Pomegranate. Cheap, tasty, fairly effective. However, they ran out of them around town for quite a while, so I just went back to drink a Diet Dr Pepper or two during work. I had the worst caffeine withdrawal of my life. I lasted about a MONTH. I actually went to the doctor and had my brain scanned. (They found it!) I was afraid that it was something nastier than caffeine withdrawal, but they didn't find anything wrong.

I was always an on-again, off-again, daily caffeine drinker. I going to stick with off-again for a while. I wake up easier, and it's nice to drink caffeine and have it work when I need it.
