End of an era

Speaking of crappy websites -- I remember in sixth grade when my friend first made an Angelfire page and I thought it was amazing.

My first homepage was hosted there, also first time I ever chatted over the internet was in a geocities chat, farewell.

Interesting to see that Homestead is still around, but now they are charging for their service, and I assume it's at least a little better than it used to be.
I used to use their service after I got bored with geocities. 🙂

I worked in tech support there for a summer once, got plenty of "interesting" questions 🙂

They also sold for about $170mm a few years back I believe..
