eMULE/eDONKEY2000 is OVERrated!

BitTorrent is pretty good. It's limited to "newer" stuff, but its power comes from the forced sharing by other downloaders; the more people that download it, the more powerful the system becomes. It's nearly viral in nature.

eMule > IronFar

It's like those old fish popper things they used to sell on tv, where you put your fishing rod into this plastic holder, go do something else, and it pops when you got a bite. Set it and forget it.

eMule and eDonkey are pretty good i think, cos they have a communities backing them up, and you're sure you're not downloading crap.

You've got to make sure your version is the newer version to get decent download rate.

edonkey rules. it's not all that great for download popular movies but it has everything, including isos for every thing out there.

..::eMule guide for retards::..

1. Start eMule - you will see a warning message telling you that it has no
server list (or similar). Ignore the warning and click OK.

2. To get a server list - in your web browser go to http://ed2k.has.it/

3. You will see "connect list: server.met (add to eMule)". Click on "add to
emule". This is a list of Edonkey servers which are NOT full i.e. accepting
new connections. Leave the browser open.

4. Check that the server addresses are added to eMule's servername window.

5. In eMule, click "Connect" (top left). The log window will show connection
attempts until a connection is made.

6. Now go back to your browser, refresh (F5) and click on "best servers:
server.met (add to eMule)" to add this list to eMule. This is a list of active
servers accepting searches and routing transfers.

You should now be able to search and transfer in emule!

Good luck retards.
