Those lyrics are horrible. Any discerning person can tell he's against Bush from the lyrics, says that all young kids should wake up before they get drafted, and that there's lots of terrorism. So, in effect, "Hey guys, there's lots of terrorism, so vote for Kerry."

I really don't understand how lyrics like those could be called 'genius.' He says he has a plan to 'ambush the Bush Administration' so that kids will stand up and fight in order to avoid being drafted. WTF is this? Eminem is a fvcking idiot.

I mean, if he's gonna be for Kerry and against Bush, then saying terrorism is a huge problem doesn't exactly help express his point. He seems to be saying, "take terorism seriously." Those lyrics don't exactly look very patriotic to me.. why the fvck is he trying to tell me who to vote for?

Eminem - Mosh Lyrics

[I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the Republic for which it stands
One nation under God
Indivisible·
It feels so good to be back..]

Scrutinize every word, memorize every line
I spit it once, refuel, reenergize, and rewind
I give sight to the blind, mind sight through the mind
I ostracize my right to express when I feel it's time
It's just all in your mind, what you interpret it as
I say to fight you take it as I? gonna whip someone's @ss
If you don't understand don't even bother to ask
A father who has grown up with a fatherless past
Who has blown up now to rap phenomenon that has
Or at least shows no difficulty multi task
And juggling both, perhaps mastered his craft slash
Entrepreneur who has held long too few more rap acts
Who has had a few obstacles thrown his way through the last half
Of his career typical manure moving past that
Mister kiss his @ss crack, he's a class act
Rubber band man, yea he just snaps back

Come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark, that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength,
Come with me, and I won't stear you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
Till the light, at the end, of the tunnel, we gonna fight,
We gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march through the swamp
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors

To the people up top, on the side and the middle,
Come together, let's all bomb and swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build, from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people, some white and some black
Don't matter what color, all that matters is we gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause, no matter the weather
If it rains let it rain, yea the wetter the better
They ain't gonna stop us, they can't, we're stronger now more then ever,
They tell us no we say yea, they tell us stop we say go,
Rebel with a rebel yell, raise hell we gonna let em know
Stomp, push up, mush, fvck Bush, until they bring our troops home come on just . . .

We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors, come on

Imagine it pouring, it's raining down on us,
Mosh pits outside the oval office
Someone's trying to tell us something, maybe this is God just saying
we're responsible for this monster, this coward, that we have empowered
This is Bin Laden, look at his head nodding,
How could we allow something like this, Without pumping our fist
Now this is our, final hour
Let me be the voice, and your strength, and your choice
Let me simplify the rhyme, just to amplify the noise
Try to amplify the times it, and multiply it by six
Teen million people are equal of this high pitch
Maybe we can reach Al Quaida through my speech
Let the President answer on high anarchy
Strap him with AK-47, let him go
Fight his own war, let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our soil
No more psychological warfare to trick us to think that we ain't loyal
If we don't serve our own country we're patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes, it's all lies, the stars and stripes
They've been swiped, washed out and wiped,
And Replaced with his own face, mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you'll know why, because I told you to fight

So come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark, that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength,
Come with me, and I won't stear you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
Till the light, at the end, of the tunnel, we gonna fight,
We gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march through the swamp
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors

[Eminem speaking angrily]
And as we proceed, to mosh through this desert storm, in these closing statements, if they should argue, let us beg to differ, as we set aside our differences, and assemble our own army, to disarm this weapon of mass destruction that we call our president, for the present, and mosh for the future of our next generation, to speak and be heard, Mr. President, Mr. Senator

As rappers go he's a good one, but those lyrics bolded are nothing special. I could write them. I couldn't match them to music properly, but there's nothing phenomenal about them at all IMO.

what about Tupac? I like Eminem and all and he has some talent, but I believe Tupac was definitely one of the best. And if anyone mentions Jay-Z, they are cray-z.

Why is it in every fvcking thread someone has to mention Tupac. It's like talking about the best basketball players and then mentioning, "What about MJ".

I'm not saying that I don't like Eminem's music, but you guys who think his lyrics are musical genious... I disagree.
He's a genious in the sense that he tricked all these little kiddies into buying his album with their parents' money with 2 or 3 of his pop songs, similar to Marilyn Manson. But don't get it twisted (look that up in the urban dictionary if confused), Em is the first great white rapper which revolutionized rap. He's the Jackie Robinson, the MLK of this genre. Not to mention he IS a lyrical genious when it comes to battle rapping, he is in the top 3 battle rappers of our time fitting in with guys who only do it for a living, and haven't even signed a deal yet. It's pretty impressive, even if he did sell out.

Genious? There is nothing wrong with it other than it being just another celebrity spouting off their 2 cents on the world, but genious? Cmon now..

of course .. but would you expect anything less from the person who raps about popping pills and killing his mother?

personally, I think he's just doing this so the hollywood crowd will love him again. He got in some trouble with the gay comments.

In a freestyle, face to face, Em would murder 90% of rappers out there, the other 10% would probably just get beat. The way he just comes up with ryhmes on the spot is just crazy, freestyle wise he's a genius, he can write as well, but his freestyles are just sicker.

Yea and I could hit a home run in Yankee Stadium. I just couldn't do it if Pedro Martinez was pitching to me.

as the war machine keeps turning
death and hatred to mankind
poisoning their brainwashed minds, oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
they only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'till their judgement day comes, yeah!

Now in darkness, world stops turning
ashes were the bodies burning
No more war pigs of the power
Hand of god has struck the hour
Day of judgement, god is calling
on their knees, the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings

OH LORD YEAH!

That is old as me.

Cobain was a lyrical genius. I like Eminem and his songs are good but theyre not genius.

I wouldn't think that he necessarily believes there will be a draft I think he is mostly a shock rapper (quite good at it) and this is just how he gets his message across. Even Eminem has said that we shouldn't take him so seriously.

On another note why in the world is Eminem censored when he says "underwear" in a song but Britney Spears is not and Foo Fighters can say masturabating? It doesn't make sense!

I agree completely. Those lyrics are pretty much laughable. If you want politically inspired rhymes check out Rage Against the Machine. Hell, even the B Boys have more inspired political lyrics.

If you don't like the news then press eject
Baby Davis getting older can't take a rain check
It's time to let'em know what we expect
Stop building SUV's strung out on OPEC
Hold up wait up you know we come correct
You wanna change things up, well hey just get set
It's easier to sit back than stick out your neck
It's easier to break things than build it correct
We've got a president we didn't elect
The Kyoto treaty he decided to neglect
And still the US just wants to flex
Keep doin' that wop we gonna break our necks

I think some of you are missing the point. In hiphop its not just how the lyrics look on paper its also how well it flows together, thats what Em excels at. He has the ability to not only construct decent lyrics but its the delivery, flow and cadence that makes it amazing
